***PSA*** for anyone that wants to know, you can only receive 50 gifts at a time on the other side, any you send past 50 will just bump/overwrite the first ones you sent, so once you send 50 items from one account you have to go and collect on the other before sending more.
ProTip: The game only lets you put down 10 port crystals so no need to dupe more than that. After 10, it won't let you use anymore and you have to pick up existing ones to place at new locations
Yeah but each Port Crystal can sell for 15K each, if you set to receive one as your request for your pawn and then your buddy rewards one as a gift you can do two port crystals at a time which equals 30 k per transfer. Doing the method five times takes about 10 minutes and equal to 120 k..... In an hour and half that's over a 1 Mil. 😅
Save scumming has literally saved me thousands of hours of needless and tedious grinding. Best tip I ever got a few years back. I’m here to see if it works in this game so thanks for confirming!
That's how we did it in 2012 (using USB external storage) in the first Dragon's Dogma; and that's how we do it now in Dragon's Dogma 2 using the cloud! Note: account-bound items (the items you got via pre-order or bought via the PS Store) can't be sent for duping.
Does the vernworth house you get from the lady count as a inn save? Edit: tested it and yes the vernworth house for 20k counts. Save yourself alot of gold in the long-run.
Thanks for the updated video. After playing around with the new version for a couple hours I'll say that its slow but it works well. I maxed out my Portcyrstals and acquired around 70 Ferrystone so getting around is going to be a lot easier. I also gave myself around 50 Wyrmslife Crystals so I'm off to a good start there.
The only thing I would want to duplicate would be the armor from the seeker tokens. Finding 150 seeker tokens twice is a lot if you want to get the best armor for you and your pawn in the game.

I think they nerfed it. (May 2nd, 2024) My friend and I were only able to gift each other once. I think you can only do it once per day, you can’t do it over and over. 😞
Is there a limit to how many items you can send before claiming them? In DDDA you could only send items 10 times before the other player claims them, anything sent after that turned into a rock. So you had to send 10, claim them, then send 10 more.
So this is going right over my head 😂 after restoring the uploaded save what you sent is still in your inventory but it dupedthe amount ?🤔 Or did i just black out on a step lol
I tried to duplicate seekers tokens the devs saw that one coming and it became a seeders token;). At least you can get 1 seekers token for free from the sphinx riddle;).
It worked for me. Funny enough I have 2 other psn accounts specifically for the original dragon dogma so I could make actually good pawns instead of using others. So many more benefits to making your own plus I think it also adds to a games replayability. You spend more time across each account building what you need more objects/goals you can reach. And where people only feel the need to play it once this allows you to play other characters in different ways with your own different pawns to make a dream team. They did dumb things down A LOT. When it comes to the pawn system & dragon forging things. But I’m loving it all the same. This helped me out a lot thanks!
I think it's quite likely that there's an anti-cheat that works on the multiplayer component of the server-side data, so it likely detects abnormal stat changes, such as in the case of having too much of carry capacity due to an abuse of golden trove beetles dupe. In the previous game it was safe to cheat as long as your (and your pawn's) main stats looked "normal". Having 999999g looks normal afaik because it's not really something used by the multiplayer system, but having 1hp too many might not look normal (possibly same for an illogically big amount of carry weight), so be careful. Trying to figure this out isn't an exact science.
If an item can be given, then having any amount of it should be safe, there is a cap of 80 beetles that you can use, after that the option to use them is greyed out
Heads up to everyone! Sending multiple of the same items (2+ portcrystals for an example) (and dismissing the pawn every time) will only send over one of that item
In DDDA, you get a 2-day trade ban whenever you load a save from an earlier date after you have gifted equipment & items. I don't know if this rule applies in DD2.
Never once saw that. And I used this method for over a decade in the first game... so... maybe that was a thing on PC, but certainly not on the Playstation platform.
Well I know Rockstar implemented a dupe detect in gta online. At this time in 2017 or so we were duping cars to sell. Once a player sold too many cars within a certain time frame, thier account would be flagged. Meaning they would only be able to sell one car per 30 hours
to bad you cant give more than one item at a time otherwise i would done gold beetles 30 to my main pawn from my 2nd acc over and over until i had like 999 of them
Sorry i didn't explain it well. It's got a hard cap on the carry weight you can collect golden bugs. But you can not use them after you reach cap. And that is about 50 bugs at 0.05 weight each so your not going to get much. After that they are junk items
This DOES work on Xbox as of 3/30/24. Just need to create a new profile on the console. No need to fiddle with any cloud storage settings. I have been duping Onyx back and forth between accounts pretty effectively. But i have not had any success duping Port Crystals. I can give them as a gift, and it asks me to confirm if I am sure. But when I bail, switch accounts, and log in, I receive all of the gifts of Onyx, but the Port Crystal never arrives. I'm guessing they are specifically blocking the gifting of port crystals. Which sucks, because if you were genuinely trying to gift one, it just vanishes into the ether.
Bro that was a long process. I just made a new psn account added it as a friend then made new game find pawn go to spinx(misspelled) dup weapon give back as a pawn quest didn’t want to make it long so just I butcher what I type. Hopefully someone understands what I’m saying 😅

No. As soon as you open your mule just save at the inn for everything to be imported. Then use your mule to just send everything back. Save at the inn again for everything to be exported.
