I just checked this video's upload time and dayam... Yt's recommend is faster than my notifs. wayyyyyyy faster. (for some reason, yt gave me a notif for a video posted 3 MONTHS ago )
@@Cat-zl8tn I’m pretty sure all fluffy socks will fray out and drop off fabric from the sock. It works, it’s just shedding fluffy fabric to never grow it again
AH this is so amazing! I remember the first flip plushie you did- and I instantly fell in love with it! I’m so glad you are making throwback tutorials like this, it’s truly a joy to see how you’ve improved but also still love doing! Never stop doing what you love, your creations are wonderful and your personality is even better! Thank you for spreading such a great influence to children and young adults!
Aww thank you for this lovely comment ❤️❤️❤️. I'm really enjoying YT at the moment since it almost feels like when I first started in 2014-15. The pressure to constantly make videos based on trends, collabs or sponsorships is gone and I can focus on creating tutorials at my own pace.
I have a easier method fill up the sock 1st and get the other one and put it inside and sew it and the design is a simple egg on the other side and on the other is a simple egg shape animal like cat dog pig
A helpful tip from someone who makes a ton of plushes :0 ! If you’re using templates, I highly suggest you cut out the felt before sewing it, without drawing on the fabric ! It makes it so no marker is seen at the seams and instantly makes it look for professional! I hope this helps :D Have a great day 💜✨
I really appreciate your extensive library of these types of crafts. I love referencing them in case I need an idea for a gift for a friend or my son 🥰
Thank you! I'm amazed myself how many of these tutorials have accumulated over the years 😂. I actually started out making sock plushies because I wasn't good at sewing so I couldn't make plushies that involve pattern cutting. However these have evolved into an entire genre of their own and once you get the hang of it, it's so fun to make!
@@maqaroon yes!!! I tried the black kitty tutorial years ago, also the pink paper clay cat macaron. You make some of the best tutorials out there! You make it so easy to follow along, what with using different colored thread, steady movements, and a calm voice. Thank you thank you for giving me many years of inspiration!
I've made a reversible plushie from your old tutorial and it turned out really good for a first attempt I was able to gift it to my best friend that still loves it to this day 😊💗 I miss making these, maybe I'll review more of your tutorials and make more kawaii plushies (*^▽^*)
@@nataliessssszzz (っ °Д °;)っ your dog ate a plushie? well I shouldn't be surprised mine would eat one too if he could 😅 hope you can make another one, but keep it away from the pup, they always think everything is a toy for them anyway xD
aaah this is perfect!! i love to make my grandma plushies for her birthday and christmas, or clay figures but i was running out of clay. now i can make something for her that’s unique!! tysm for making these amazing tutorials!!!
TYSM 💖💖💖💖 I sometimes make some plushies, but I don't know how to stitch them properly... So they always end up kinda weird, So thank you for teaching me the right technique!!!!
Hi Maqaroon!! I just wanted to let you know how much you have inspired me. First, Koalas ans macarons are some of my faviorite things, two, I love crafting, and three. Your channel made me feel proud of what I do, and now I have created my own channel with my friend. Your videos are great to watch and follow along to during this pandemic. Thank you so much!!!
Awww thank you!! Wow strange coincidence, the design of the owl is actually based on a stuffed toy called Louise the Owl by the japanese company Monseuil. It appears in the film Lost in Translation and I have two of their Louise plushies 😂
Hi Joanna I have been watching your channel for years now. I just wanted to say that I hope your family is being safe! Thank you for all your creative videos I love making your crafts as gifts!
hi maqaroon, not sure if you'll see this but i just wanted to say i'm so thankful for you and your videos. believe it or not, your videos have helped me through hard times, and whenever i have an anxiety attack i come to your channel which often helps me calm down. i know it doesn't seem like much but it really means a lot to me and i appreciate you.
Your vids are amazing :oooo I luv plushies and u make them :0 You are indeed talented :) And make things easy And I love the youtuber who hearts everyone’s comments as I was scrolling :>
Hi! I watched your 1st video on this flip plushie 2 years ago and tried it with a panda and Totoro. It turned out super cute, but I noticed the same problems you addressed in this video, so I’m really glad that you’ve shared the solution! Thank you for always reaching for better things to help us in our cute craft journey :3 So excited to try this method! ❤️
Oh i see you have an update. Just as cute. You could just make the hole in the end f the blue one, stuff all the way down to the other one packing at sides. Sew and draw end hole up tight. You could make it off center so an ear covers it or something else. Push the blue side back inside of the other one poking it into center. Maybe. I haven’t tried any yet. Just love this reversible idea!
thanks for making this video. I wanted to follow your previous one but that includes fluffy socks and I don't have them. this is why this was very helpful thank you Joana
If you tuck in the raw edges of both socks and bring the folds together then you can use a whip stitch, or even use a tiny ladder stitch, to close the bottom. That would completely hide the raw edges. It's the same principle as closing a hole left for turning or stuffing in a regular plushie. Hope that helps some one. I make plushies all the time. These are really so very cute.
Btw just letting you know I love you so much and your vids are really Awesome and watch them all the time when I’m bored!!! Thank you so much for creating these videos and being such an awesome person!!!😄😄
Holly flipp! This is exactly what I needed! Thank you my sewing chicken polish is project! I needed a chicken, but I need this for another project! Ee!
You could always just do the first method and ladder stitch the bottom raw edges together! That way the stuffing stays all neat and in-place, but you still get the neat, finished, edge!
Just a thought for the raw edge hiding method, you could make the plushie the original way, (right sides out and all), and simply fold in the raw edges , pin to hold everything in place, and then tightly (as in tiny distance between each stitch) ladder stitch around. It would make for an invisibly stitched seam.
OMG THE DAY YOU POSTED THIS WAS MY BIRTHDAY and i turned 11 and ive been watching you for 5 years! and i visited Vienna and watch your FOLLOW ME AROUND VIENNA and i went to some of the places!!
