@BjornSiegert I use music found in RU-vid’s audio library. It’s all random artists that allow their music to be used in videos. No particular one person or group. I usually cut a video then go back through and look over the library to see what best fits for the vibe I want.
There’s something very calming about just chilling out ferrying troops around and letting everyone else around you fight on. Also a shittonne of fun hunting down Huey’s with the rotary gunpods. The hip might not be as maneuverable but it can take a beating that’s for sure
Yeah I love it! It is just a different vibe from the rest of the war going on around you. It only gets intense when you come across an adversarial helicopter and then it gets really fun fighting it out.

Nice I'm glad you enjoy the videos! That is a great tip! Yink also told me about the stop watch and I tried it out last night flying by myself. I think I like the iphone better because it is just easier for my eyes to read and I like the "lap" feature on the stopwatch. I use that when I have two drops going at the same time like recon and standard or something like that.
The colors are edited in post to be more desaturated so it will look different from stock DCS even with a different GPU. That said I love the new gpu I got because I used to get stutters recoding all the time and now it seems few and far in between.
That would be pretty wild lol Do you know if copilot and door gunner can switch between the two if they are both humans? I would imagine one would have to sit in the middle seat to allow the other to move to the gunner or copilot position if it was possible. I imagine it would be kind of lame if someone was stuck just as the door gunner and wanted to move around.
Loved hearing the crew sharing of tasks and VID. If you found a dedicated crew, it would make flying the Hippo, or another multi-crewable asset, so much better than the normal Airquake style. And the Mi-8 being relatively fast and medium lift, allows for larger troop/cargo infils. Can't wait for the Chinook.
Love flying the Huey on Enigma but yesterday I finally went ahead and bought the Hip.. bit intimidated by the weapons system with all those switches but have to say it flies like a dream!
@@ryu1940 Yeah I was amazed at what you can do with it! I am sure it's going to surprise me a few times, but I saw some very useful things on your channel especially the amount of cycle required when slowing down and landing Probably going to do another hour of practice and then get into Enigma, like an idiot. Ah well, that's how I learned the Huey so I guess it's my method, lol.

Considering where you were on the Map. Good odds I was the 3rd Huey in your territory dropping recon. I saw a Hip off my right, I was hugging trees cause I was already overweight with no weapons or door gunners. Got ambushed by 4 or 5 jets while I was there and somehow made it home riddled with holes.
@@ryu1940 Thank you. If you ever want to fly a sortie sometime I'd enjoy dragging you along the deck. I will warn you, ground effect is your best friend till you burn enough fuel on most of the sorties I fly.
Nice flight. I can't get replays to work these days, crashes right to desktop. You guys haven't had that problem it seems. Other than the thrill of successfully completing a Mi-8 mission on Enigma I enjoy watching the replays to see everything that goes on around me that I missed while flying.
I totally have that problem too! I did find that it doesn't happen to all the tracks so you just have to waste a lot of time trying to see if one will load or not. It seems to be consistent so if a track is going to make the game crash to desktop it will always be like that and if a track is going to work it will always work. It is tedious but I had I think 8 tracks from that night and only two worked.

The Hip has had multicrew for a while now, I think it came out last year iirc but on ECW for the Hip I really like it to split some tasks. Rob who is the copilot in the video ends up being in charge of loading the troops and unloading them, monitoring the mission times for them so we know when to head back for pick up and general navigation. I also gave him a quick overview of the fire extinguishing system so if there was a fire onboard he could deal with it.
I don’t for certain because I never got into a situation where I knew the ai gunner would have engaged something but on the surface it does appear that you have no control over them if there is a second human onboard.
I don’t know how it was before so I can’t really compare but I can say when I was using it the other night it was pretty well synchronized. There were times I’d flick a switch to explain something and my copilot would see it instantly.
In the rearm panel you need to right click on a pylon and say remove pylons and when they are done you will have the gunsight removed automatically as there are no more weapon pylons attached to the aircraft.
They can completely fly it if you pass the controls off to them. The way I usually do it is the pilot will fly, the copilot will be responsible for setting troop drops and monitoring the time, and incase of emergencies they will operate the fire extinguishing system and turn off fuel in case of fire.
