Well they designed it specifically for students, so it doesn't have to have the latest and the greatest. I kinda like the idea of an affordable iPad. Wish they had done the same with the Macbook Air lineup instead of discontinuing it. As a student, the only problem I have with Apple products is the price.

You never mentioned the Price... This i basically the 9.7" iPad Pro but a lot cheaper and its mainly for the Classroom and educational Stuff, thats why they have Shared iPad and over 200,000 Educational apps

I know what's better. The iPad Pro 9.7. It's the same price, and same capability ... except the iPad Pro has a couple more features such as Smart Keyboard support, True Tone, laminated screen e.t.c.

I am in the field of education. It’s not about innovation, it’s about affordability. This is one of the reasons Chromebooks have gained such popularity in the classroom. It’s not because they have the latest specs-they’re affordable and get what students need to accomplish done. Apple wants to share in this for a variety of reasons.

Obito Uchiha exactly your government charges a 25% income tax and sales taxe(also 25%) is also calculated into the cost of the device unlike the US. So the government is making the iPad cost 150% in India plus shipping costs from Us to India. Get a government that isn't corrupt.

*+Jorge Aguilar* well, some companies still use Windows XP computers. Heck, even nuclear power plants run Windows 95. Also, by the time he bought it, he nust have run into at least some issues. One of them being lack of thermal compounds on critial parts, HDD drive failures and a fan full of dust. And That's because Apple uses the same components found in any other PC.

*+Ed Saucin* While I get your point that you *can* upgrade your GPU on the 2009 iMac, it won't bring you far, due to compatibility issues. But what do you mean with "Apple doesn't necessarily use just any components from other PCs either" ? Their manufacturers' are the same as their compatition and GPU, CPU, RAM and storage on their computers are just stand-alone products from other companies.

koolkatken I agree, I’m very interested and I’m in college. The iPad 6th Generation looks like a great bang for your buck considering the chip on the iPad Pro 2nd Gen is using the A10X which is only a year newer than the A10 Fusion.

Noel Negron Not quote a year newer by the a10x uses 6 cores while the regular is a 4 core CPU. Both are really very good though.
