I bought my pair of 12.0 Ah from igocordless in February, they had 5 of the pairs in stock at that time but evidently quickly ran out -- not sure how many of the singles they had. Arrived very quick too -- they were at my door the day after I'd bought them. I was surprised that they became available in February as they were themselves advertising "coming in June", but I jumped at the chance as I'd never been able to get any of the 10.0 Ah units. The 12.0 is surprisingly compact -- hardly bigger than the 7.5's I already had.
Glad to see a 12A battery coming out soon. Woof that price is steep though. Hopefully it will come down a bit. Please keep us posted on pricing and availability in the future. I’ll be watching this one.
😁Thank again for the awesome video and update! 👍🏾I was unable to get the snowblower all of last year so hopefully I get the lawn mower this year with the 2 pack battery deal ...I assume that's what they fit?? Premium model only no entry level
@@TechMadeEzy yeah this will be good for the push mowers but I feel because of the size increase its most likely for the riding lawn mower or a new model or something? an adapter would be cool 😎
Your Gona. Have to test out this 12 amp hour battery, maybe go find one heck of a yard to cut and see how it handles, will it drain quick, or will it power thru with juice to spare
Very helpful. Trying to decide if I want the LM2156SP and if so whether I should get tool only and splurge for this 12ah batt (instead of the 10 that comes in the kit)
I excitedly bought two 12ah batteries for my 24 inch 2 stage snow blower. Incredibly EGO made the batteries too big and they don't fit. I'm returning the snow blower and batteries.
I love love my EGO mower but the 7.5 batteries are hard to find and the price has increased so much that one could by a whole ice mower for the price of a new battery.
I realize that these are not that type of battery, but, I'd love to see a review on an inexpensive backup battery for a CPAP machine. For those who don't know, a CPAP machine is a medical device that usually draws only a few hundred watts, at most, over an 8 hour period. I've been looking for something that I can plug my CPAP into, so that on the very rare occasion I have a power outage, the machine keeps working. I think the longest black out I've had in recent memory was less than 4 hours, most are under 5 minutes. The only other use I'd have for a backup battery would be on camping trips. I would pick a camp site with electricity, but, those might be more prone to unexpected blackouts. All in all, something like a 200Wh - 500Wh (Yes I know that is about a doubling of price) is something I would really like to see reviewed. Less expensive is better, since I expect to only use it extremely rarely. Would that be something you're interested in reviewing on this channel?
This actually might be perfect for you then, I also included links in the description it's also expandable And if you keep the DC on it won't shut off until the battery dies ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-9XHftyuY7OU.html
$550 is a just ridiculous. A full set of 14S3P 21700 4Ah cells will cost you $250. Add $50 for the case and you have 300. That’s without any volume discounts.
Mark I really don’t know I’m not sure that EGO will disclose that but you could always ask thank you for watching the video sorry I couldn’t give you that information
Hi y’all. I have a question . I bought a 5 amp battery and I charged all the way (full ) and I used it in my weed eater for 10-15 minutes and was already half way . Is normal or is a defective battery. Thanks for your help
Hard to tell, you should use it for a while, get a few cycles out of it (charges and recharges) you are under warranty. After a few cycles if you aren't sure I'd call them 855-346-5656
Great and informative video Tech. Just curious, have you seen the new Milwaukee lawnmower? I believe it’s coming out this month. Will you be reviewing it?
Hi FL thank you I’ve done a little research we have to see if it fits in our budget to be honest with you. We’re definitely doing some more reviews this year
I would like to buy the LM2156SP but not too sure about battery degradation over time. Last thing I wanna to do is to buy a $400 10A battery 6 years after purchasing he mower kit. Could you share your thoughts about the Ego battery?
I have batteries from 2019 that are still working pretty good and I got a 10 amp hour battery last year I've got no issues with it I hope that helps you
@@TechMadeEzy I second this video idea if you haven't already done it. Compare a brand new batteries performance to your oldest of same AH and try to articulate the degradation % based on estimated charge cycles on the used battery. For those of us considering going all in on the platform would he very compelling data to consider being the expected battery output after a given amount of cycles.
Why not? Try an ICE mower and you have spent way more than 400$ in those 6 years on fuel, maintenance, oil, filters, etc. Plus in 6 years the 10Ah will probably be much cheaper.
Seems like they need to have more lobbyists in the government for tax benefits like they do for solar energy and tesla when they were small. California you can't use gas blowers anymore they never seem to ever pick up the piles just electric blowers.
Wish Ego batteries were like the Toro batteries. Toro batteries have a really nice handle built-in so it's much easier to carry around. Very ingenious Toro. Love the Toro E26 cordless battery powered two stage snowblower too, check it out. I like the fact that Toro has been around for over one hundred years making excellent quality outdoor equipment. And the Toro E26 snowblower never needs shear pins to break or be replaced. They have a built in torque sensor that automatically shuts off the motor whenever something too hard or big jams up the auger. 😉
Found the Toro employee... Toro 2 stage performs well but the fact that it's very heavy, is difficult to assemble, and has parts in it that require regular maintenance, I would go with something different.
This battery has a bunch of uses, a great match would be the nexus power station, I would also say the new ride mowers and I believe one of them come with the 12ah , also if you have a larger lawn for more run time. Bottom line it works with all EGO tools which is nice
@@TechMadeEzy true, but did you see that new EGO 750 charger? A fast charger is more valuable than increased capacity in garden applications. By the time you're done edging, or blowing leaves, your 7.5ah battery has gone from zero to full. Yes the ride-on mower would be a good use for this. But that thing takes like 8 batteries. Total cost for the tool, and batteries are near enough to a down payment on a new house.
