Good concepts. The arch or curve would work well with North-South roads, as it would give a flatter performance through the Solar Day. East-West roads may benefit from an array leaning towards the South (Northern Hemisphere). Seems like cutting in / shallow bury of the roadway would be good, as well. Lower profile creates less Wind-Load on the array, and better year-round protection of the roadway surface. Run HVDC (High Voltage DC along the roadway path, and over-all US / North America Solar Day could be expanded to 12 to 14 hours, Coast-to-Coast.
