Sonic Frontiers has just received update 3, the Final Horizon! In this video I play and react to the epic new ending to Sonic Frontiers the Final Horizon. This will include the new and final boss battle between Sonic and the new version of The End. Furthermore, Sonic's new Super form, Corrupted Cyber Sonic is fully revealed! In addition there are several new cutscenes added to the Sonic Frontiers ending and even some major changes. I hope you enjoy the video!

Base Game Ending: A somber, quiet battle against the inevitable fate that is death. An equally saddening death follows the battle immediately after. Beautiful if subdued ending overall. Update Ending: HEDGEHOG GUN HEDGEHOG GUN WOOOOOOO WOOOOO YEAAAAAAAAH ALRIIIIIIIIGHT YOOOOOOOOO

While I did love the tone of the original ending, and I think the amazing THE END's speech was amazing and a highly unfortunate loss I feel like this one does a better job as the climax of the story

Or if you parry the 3 arm swipes he does before running towards you, also if you cyloop him, parry the beam and then stay without getting hit for long enough

So, in summary to speed things up. 1. Detach The End's beam to prevent Supreme from regeneration. 2. Deplete whatever health it has left. 3. Quick Cyloop on Supreme's gun... 4. Make SURE you have enough rings to survive the huge Shadow Ball...

Kinda wish they hinted or at least clarified on what the player was supposed to do. I noticed several others (including me) had trouble on what were supposed to do next to progress on this boss fight as the game never tells you to sever the cable. However once you get all of that down the fight is still really great :)

To me, the update was peak. While some things I didn’t like, mostly Knuckles’ glide, there were so many things I liked more

@@odnguyyeah, once knuckles has infinite Glide its tolerable. The build up to knuckles gliding is kinda annoying but u can spam it to re adjust

Yea I hate that weird pause Knuckles does before his glide. He never did it before so why now 🤷‍♂️. But definitely enjoyed the update too!

Funny enough that super sonic has gotten beaten up once before. It was during the fight with dark oak from sonic x during the first episode of season 3.

They can definitely do something similar in the future now if they go with Super Sonic being able to absorb different types of energy. That allows new forms to be made that don’t conflict with eachother

keep in mind this boss was the first foe to be able to knock sonic out of super sonic even while he was in a POWERED UP version of it, this really goes to show how powerful the end actually is

I was able to target it almost every time by first using the tornado kick special move (idk the name) then using the Wild Rush special move, where Sonic bounces in the air a few times before targeting the opponent.

I recently bought this game some weeks back and only played it for like an hour or so. I wonder if I still have to do the old story and other things in order to unlock the new story?🤔

All that's absolutely required to access the new content is to get to Ouranos Island (the final island). The game DOES suggest you clear the base game's story first, but you can opt out of it for the most part. I will suggest completing all the Action Chain challenges across the 4 main islands, though, as the Spindash ability you unlock from it will make both the new Cyberspace levels and general traversal way easier.

@@yetravellingsonc8372 @diamondntstudios Thx, unlocking the spin dash might be a little tuff for me since from my understanding you have to get all S ranks in cyberspace. And oh boy the new story looks challenging too from what I've seen last night of someone playing it.

as everyone else has told you, you do not have to but i 100% recommend you do. ive put almost 40 hours into this game. you'll fall in love with the new ending

I think something I discovered with this game is that sonics voice actor actually has so much potential, you can definitely feel him struggle sometimes, shame they don't use him for more of those crazy attacks!

I only have a few complaints about the final boss 1: perfect parry 2: attaking the cord connecting the end to supreme 3: it just being named the end. My solution to the 3rd is calling it "The Supreme End"

I'm honestly just sick and tired of hearing people say "it's free so I can't complain". Since when is free an excuse for mediocrity? Honestly, my biggest gripe isn't the constant crashing and unfair difficulty. It's, the new ending, while Sage living is much better and fits more of a Sonic game, it just plays into Ian Flynn's sick fantasy of having everything in the Sonic franchise be canon. If they wanted a good ending then just make it a good ending it's not right to make us work and sit through Sage's death just to be told that it possibly isn't even real. I said this multiple times in the past but I don't see Sage fitting into future games, there could be a comical aspect with Orbot and Cubot, but that's it. If she retains her body she will actually be a liability to Eggman during missions as we see she is growing fond of Sonic as a hero... Literally, slowly, becoming another defective failure like a man's other robots... Don't get me wrong, I love Sage, but her losing her body and becoming an AI voice anime trope was probably the better way of doing this if that is even the Canon ending as she should remain a one-time character. I hate Inn Flynn he is a terrible writer...

Sage respects sonic, like eggman does. She is still a villain, she literally says she only wants to save the world so eggman can conquer it. I don’t see her being a liability she loves eggman.

Crashing? I never had any crashing problems, and I played the Switch version, the weakest version of the platforms for this game out there.
