Great figure but I agree that the price is ridiculous for what we’re getting. Really wish the faceplates were common with the Hoth trooper.

They could've just cast the legs in the light green colour and then added the darker green camo over top. That way they would've gotten away with no dark green paint on the knees because it's a bit spread out and would've saved on paint overall. I'm confused.

If you think about it, the troopers are an amazing action figure idea- If they wanted to, they could release alternates of these troopers with alternate/other weapons that were seen in the battles they were at, give them alternate designs for the outfits, maybe even have an alternate female one like what they did with the Cobra troopers, and give them new faces to put on them or even ALIEN heads/faces... Granted, some of them I'm sure they'd put in the Gaming Greats line for the Battlefront games-

Oh man, thanks for showing off Leia’s poncho on this figure, Nate! I knew Han’s jacket was a great possibility, but I was really hoping Leia’s poncho would work. Thought it was going to be too small, so I’m very excited that it works. It truly makes the figure for me. It definitely should’ve been included with the figure, but I needed to get another Endor Leia for the Rebel Alliance display anyway.

Going forward I'm being very selected after spending a lot of the may pre orders. I do really want this figure but with the hoth rebel figure still available for less than £15 in the UK, I think I'm definitely holding off until it comes down in price.

Good figure, but for €42.99 deluxe price here in Ireland, and can't swap face plates, not THAT good!

Great review Nate! Besides the Deluxe pricing I think this is a fantastic looking figure but I am to the point where I’m tired of figures being considered Deluxe solely because of “paint apps”, just feels like there’s always so much paint left to be desired. Seeing everyone’s sentiment on this figure I can’t help but feel it’d be flying off the shelves if it was normal pricing!

this one cost £34 in the UK & I just cannot understand how it justifies being a "deluxe" figure. The only reason I can think of is that Hasbro thought people would buy multiple of them for army builders The hoth trooper is by far a superior figure with so many options thanks to the goggles. Does this even have a place to store the mask?

Just got mine..for $65AU mind you..the bit of brown hair under the helmet with the greybeard face will look a bit weird but you prolly wouldn't see it on display..pretty cool though a poncho would do it justice..cheers mate, great review 🍺🍺🍻 SI FI

Finally in stock today at Pulse so I placed an order and canceled my EE order. And Pulse already shipped, so early next week I’ll finally get this in. Looks great and can’t wait to army build a few of these.

With a bit of heat, you can "compress" the Endor Rebel faceplates and fit them into the Hoth Rebel head! I've got half a dozen Hoth Rebels, so this has at least given me more options there! Only two Endor Rebels, unless they go down in price, I won't get more. Sadly, the Hoth faceplates are not wide enough to cover the space on the Endor head.

Ordered four for now. I hope they re-release with some more faces and different camouflage tops and even the double backpack.

Great looking fig. I rarely collect black series anymore but I just got darth malak today and its honestly probably my fav black series figure of all time! Will you be getting one? It'd be great to see your views on him.

Thanks for the review Nate! Yeah, I think out of principle I will wait for clearance on this one. We just have to draw the line somewhere on what we will accept as Deluxe. If he also came with his own poncho and maybe one other accessory that would maybe be acceptable. Also the bare knee hinges, no bueno.

Can't understand why the legs aren't molded in green plastic. I understand yellow/green paint still contains lead even today, though not sure about PVC.

Might be a good idea we all give customising Hoth Troopers a go (that one looked great) and they can be found in the bargain bin

I get mine this month. My only gripe with the figure is that they put the wrong face on the figure. I want it to have the rex face but I was going to leave it in the box!

They should’ve added a poncho and trench coat for that price. Now we need a Pruneface.

Thanks for the review Nate. I agree with everything you said. Looking at the comments, it appears most people share the same sentiments. Great looking figure. But charging too much and giving too little. A few, small efforts on Hasbro's part, would have gone a long way. Or, at standard release price, things that could be more easily overlooked.

Excellent job giving us the +/-. Is it worth it..? Probably not. But really want him in my collection. Great job!!

Great review! Seeing Cobb Vanth and the various Boba Fett releases all go on sale here in the UK really has me thinking this will too. If not for that price this would be an instant buy. All of that aside I don't love the design they chose either, it's not bad but compared to a lot of the Endor troopers in the film it's easily the less common look. It's weird seeing an Endor trooper with only the lower half being camouflaged, plenty had jackets or trench coats, I mean who doesn't picture a mostly green colour scheme when thinking of these guys? I hate to say it but part of me wonders if they just went with a design that would require less paint (despite them boasting extra paint aps for deluxe releases in the past). Who knows, it still looks good but I'm going to hold out for a pricedrop.

Unfortunately, the price, and this is something I'm pretty sure they've mentioned in other live streams as well as the star wars ones, is that the designer teams and such don't decide the price... They have also said that they themselves don't really like the prices-

Great review Nate! I wished more accessories like the Hoth backpack (retooled to fit this one) could've been included and man oh man, those knees definitely should've been painted. It's sad that there's lot of nitpicks about a good figure.

To me the figure has limited customization so two is enough. I made a figure out of the mask and fodder. Looked fine. Three head sculpts maybe get another. It’s a cheaper option to get the heroes of Endor figures at discounted cost and use fodder bodies to make more. True you miss the camo pants. I am flappy to have a Nik Sant figure.

Nate, great honest review. There really no understanding how Hasbro decides what’s deluxe and what isn’t. I mean, look at the season 2 Wrecker. Clearly more paint apps, new sculpting and a regular exclusive price! 🤷‍♂️Like you, I’ll pick one up at regular retail and wait for discount on any more And let’s not forget, it will probably get a galaxy box release too. So a higher chance of clearance. Keep the vids coming

Cant wait for the Target discount. More collectors really should wait for these discounts. The sales from these types of figures come from people army building and this price discourages that

At my Walmart Canada 🇨🇦 the Rebel Commandos were put on the shelves already on "Liquidation" about 42 percent off, so 22$ u.s. 😁 at that price, I jump at them ...

Luckily Hasbro pulse discounted it to £20 & picked one up - Should have picked another one up but they are OOS now I can see loads of places having this heavily discounted though. Peg warmer of the year!

The price is them trying to get money out of the new mold and hoping a majority of people will buy before it goes on sale. It’s a shame it’s not compatible with the Hoth Rebel too i would have picked up even more

I am a die hard O.T fan like you both! It looks great and has really nice articulation like you said... But the lack luster details... Wahhhh.. The price for it is hiduous.. 😢😢😢.... Will blend in exceptionally well with my ROTJ set up. Buying one and waiting to buy another when it's discounted and I have a feeling it will like you were pointing out Nate. I definitely like the figure but agree with all the sentiments in the vid. I kinda regret getting two right away especially after seeing the lower priced hoth trooper on sale all over and that's one of the best figs in the line. I think the Han poncho looks really good and fits great with the backpack and bandolier holding it tight to the upper body.

aaaye i was hoping you'd do a side by side with my custom lol great review man and at the end of the day I'll pay $35 for this if thats what it takes to get background characters. unfortunate that its that way but I like this figure enough to justify the price.

This is a great figure, although if there was no Rex lookalike face, would it be a deluxe figure. Can't see how Hasbro will make more money by selling it at a higher price point. The army builders will buy less, and the casuals won't buy any. If it does go to clearance, then it will sell out in minutes. I only got one.

I cut back on TBS, not buying everything right away and passed on figures multiple times that I would’ve bought when ever I saw them a couple of years ago. I have multiple jar jars and the first two I paid full price and no regrets, I picked up this guy for under 30 bucks at gamestop and just not happy with. Did they really give us a back pack and a face plate with no way of storing it inside the bag?

First off, great review! I don't think the price can be justified for the accessories that are lacking for what we all see on Endor Rebels. I think the poncho or jacket should indeed have been included as well as the box for the detonators used in the bunker. That lack of paint on the knee is quite sloppy. It will look nice standing up for sure and have some shelf presence with other troopers and the heroes, but the Deluxe price isn't worth it since army building is a reality. On an extra note, that image for the cardback is excessively grainy. I'm sure better images could have been taken from Lucasfilms archives, but we have fewer images of the Endor Troopers up close when compared to the Rebels on Hoth when looking at the films. If I were a TBS carded collector, I would be disappointed with that for sure.

I Wonder how either Greedo or Nightbrother headsculpt could fit In this figure? You would miss the helmet but it would be Battlefront figure

Mixed feelings in this figure. The lack of paint on the knee joints is jarring and sadly the eye goes to it first on a dynamic pose which just really hinders this figures overall worth. That asise i do like the figure but i will be trying to match that paint scheme on hispants as close as possible and paint it myself which is lame becsuse droppimg deluxe duckets on a figure should not require us to do so. Solid review Nate. The photography options with this trooper are going to be great though. Endor troopers being guided by some ewokes through the massive forrest of Endor just sounds like a fun and cool shoot/display to set up 👍👊

Excellent and honest review. I'll likely grab a couple. It always surprises me how little we ask for as collectors, and how often Hasbro is prepared not to meet that expectation, just a little paint and you wouldn't be able to keep this guy on pegs. Thanks for the content

They must have lost money on the Hoth trooper as he was on clearance and cheap forever on Amazon. Thing is he was genuinely a brilliant figure that cost less. Hasbro are just pushing their luck on price. they don't learn and collectors aren't stupid. I can wait.

Yeah these look great and all but if we're to pay the already absurd deluxe prices, they should be giving us deluxe figures. Fewer accessories is one thing, but less paint apps too? Feels like Hasbro is a snake oil salesman...convincing you that it's special as they smile at you while taking your money. The RotJ and Paz Vizsla releases were much better value both accessories and paint apps wise. But at least these Endor troopers feel better than the Grogu release...still can't find him for under $25 lol. He's smaller than B2EMO and I managed to get the Cassian/B2EMO pack for only $20! Anyways great review as always.

I understand why in theory ya'll like soft goods but they almost always look janky unless they are specifically used to get out of the way of an accessory like with Mando and his jet pack.

That price *is* up there. Could have came with a trenchcoat, even another switchable face plate (or a second edition with a couple of alternate faces?) and then that non-paint under the knees? So many of us will pose these guys on one knee. I don't know, I'm in Canada so this figure it likely to be pushing $50 before tax. I don't know about you, but to me, that's alotta tacos. I've always favored the "sell more at a lower price and profit more too," model, but Hasbro seems to keep it to the conservative model of, "make less, sell less at a premium price;" this pretty much cuts out a significant portion of potential buyers, and potential *future* buyers which is just sad. They're playing a short game, very short-sightedly and not the long game.

It seems pretty obvious that if they started releasing troopers from like battlefront 2 with different race / genders they would make an absolute killing even at lower price points. It’s a literal gold mine. Give us different troop classes like rocket trooper, sniper, heavy.

The nik sant face has gray hair but the head has dark hair coming out of the back of the helmet

Too bad they did not use the Cassian Andor figure From rogue one those legs I think would’ve worked perfectly with that figure instead of the legs that I saw in the video

Sounds like people need to get their paint brushes out for this one. You could paint the grey beard brown for another character and maybe but some goggles or fa e covering in the other face for a fourth character. The price is disappointing.

Hello Nate thanks for sharing your thoughts on this new Rebel Endor Trooper figure. I had 2 of these figures on preorder but after watching reviews I changed it to 1. Once again Hasbro is shoving deluxe prices down our throats and giving us standard figures. As you pointed out there is nothing deluxe about this figure. It's an all new sculpt but that's it. Nothing exciting about it other than finally another rebel trooper figure. Lacking in paint apps, no extra weapons, no soft goods poncho, no extra face plates, and not even compatible with the Hoth trooper face plates. What a let down and missed opportunity. And the out right blatant money grab deluxe prices demand is aggravating. But honestly it's nothing new for Hasbro so I'll complain like everyone else is and nothing will probably change. I definitely wanted at least 2 or 3 of these figures but the second will be a sale/clearance price definitely. I'm sure if they make a Gaming Greats version and I'm sure they'll charge a deluxe price so that might be my third on sale/clearance purchase. No Star War black series is worth more then 10-11$. I don’t know why people continue to collect these figures. If your lucky the HasLab won’t fund and maybe this line will go away. I would love to see an end to black series and marvel legends so Hasbro could focus on in house IP’s.

If prices are this crazy I’m fully moving to getting 1 or 2 hot toys a year with better quality and better customer service if something goes wrong these are just cheap plastic at this point
