There's a very high probability that in the very near future that NBC/Comcast/Universal will be announcing a resort in Europe. Possibly Spain, but I can't say precisely just quite yet. That's going to be huge. (Just for clarity, there's also a possibility of it being two resorts, with the second one being in the U.K.). I have uncovered some patents of Universals that are in Spanish of altered existing attractions here in the U.S.. Just wanted to throw this your way, in case you weren't already aware.

Yes it’s been something I’ve been saying as well a Luigi’s mansion ride maybe kind of along the lines of tower of terror at Disneys Hollywood studios would be a great ride but in its own originality.

This is why I keep insisting the expansion pad will still be more Mario rather than Pokemon like a lot of people think. Both franchises just have way too much to work with for larger lands and they'd be crazy to not leave space to expand two of the biggest franchises in the world.

Newt Scamander was indeed in the Marauders Map in The Prisoner of Azkaban by Dumbledore’s office. He is alive, retired, in charge of the werewolf registry, and a tad bit younger than Dumbledore.

As depicted in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Newt Scamander visits Hogwarts in 1993 or 1994 for some unknown reason, thus appearing on the Marauder's Map. Newt writes A Children's Anthology of Monsters, an edition for younger readers. As of 2017, Newt Scamander is still "alive and well". Googled it for yall! Love the episode, im also so excited for Epic Universe

In my opinion seaworld has become a coaster park above all else. If they could add anything non coaster I would recommend a dark ride into the twilight zone or Marianas trench

Knowing that a huge part of the Wizarding World's success is through it's immersion using filmed versions of the original actors / no-impersonators etc. I wouldn't be surprised if a portrait of Newt Scamander hosted the fantastic beasts show. This continues the trend of cohesion with the movie versions of this universe while also solving any timeline issues between the Ministry Ride being set after the Harry Potter films, but the FB films being set 70 years earlier. Also they already have this technology and it's visual aesthetic well established through out their Wizarding World attractions.

For the Werewolf effect: Would be really neat if they implemented the process that Disney has done when changing the Beast into Human form during the Beauty and the Beast Ride. Instead, have the opposite effect where it is the man turning into the monster as we get launched through the show-scene. Idea for the Monster Trucks - Could be scened as a 'Science Experiement' and the ride vehicles be a Prototype for a levitating car. Could work in any Futuristic setting for a land.

I really hope there is a higher-end space-themed restaurant in the central hub to really capitalize on the theme, since Atlantic seems to be more of a seafood place. Think Universal’s answer to Space 220. While I agree that I do need the quick service places at least some of the time, I still feel like a few proper sit-down dinners are an important part of the experience (Three Broomsticks, anyone?).

Three Broomsticks is an upscale quick service location, which most (if not all?) of the quick service restaurants for Epic will be! I agree though, I LOVE space-theming!

If Universal wanted to go over the top with immersion, they could provide themed buses that travel from a station next to Hogwarts in Islands of Adventure to this new Great Hall building, but only guests who have a dining reservation in the other park can use it. The bus could have fake window screens like Hogwarts Express, but this time you think you're in a thestral-pulled carriage taking you up the hill and round the lake towards the castle. I think the drive is like 10mins, so hopefully not too long to get travel sickness.

There is a flat ride that has a sort of similar movement as the Zamperla Go Go Bounds (?) named Kangaroo at Kennywood. It is a very old ride.

@@ThemeParkStop You only get dropped once per revolution (it has a ramp that you get dropped from). But it looks like the experience would be similar to this ride.

I’m really wondering what Oak & Star Tavern will be like, will it have more of a tree/forest theme? Because with the Burning Blade Tavern in Dark Universe and the Mead Hall in HTTYD Land, it feels like they need to differentiate it more.

I think, like the rest of the hub, it’ll be fancy looking. With big fireplaces and ornate fixtures. More like abstract tree branches. Not realistic.

I’m kinda thinking the Great Hall restaurant will be similar to night one of Galactic Starcruiser. You pay one price and they bring your group the food family style and you can request as much as you want. I also think the entertainment in there may be taking a page from Starcruiser, with the actors going around the room and really making it an immersive environment. Also, I am not really scared about coasters but I will never ride Falcon’s Flight or any similar coaster. There is no way I am riding that lol. Thanks for the podcast!

Used to live at Kirkman & Confroy for 2 years...back in 99. Used to drive through Universal Stuidos in the morning to go to work downtown...the feeling it was to live there. I haven been then since the original Harry Potter was added...so, lots changed. I'll be back when this place opens. Can't wait!

It's ALL happening so fast! I can't wait to stay at the Alicia Stella Nova! I need that sally dark ride in Nick Universe at Mall of America. They already have a sally ghost blasters that needs to be replaced. Or a sponge bob log ride, as much as id hate to see paul bunyan go.

Minion Cafe’s set up is brilliant and I hope they update majority of the restaurants to this format. I notice the last time I was at the parks, the restaurants that were still doing buzzers were overcrowded, confusing, etc. While at leaky cauldron, minion cafe, or three broom sticks it was pretty much walk-ins and food delivered almost instantly.

They could always explain the great hall dining experience by making you "take the floo network" to get there. The floo network is a big part of the whole land so it wouldnt suprise me if they stick with it as the explanation in this case.

Forbidden Journey is cornered by River Adventure and Turkey Lake Drive. The only way to have a Great Hall restaurant adjacent to the actual IOA Hogwarts Castle would've meant moving or removing Unicorn during the original WW installation. An absolutely missed opportunity. Also, The Adventuredome indeed has space. The interior of the centerpiece mountain houses a long abandoned arcade and 3-D SpongeBob cinema that has likely been cleared for this attraction.

The baseball games at Philadelphia Phillies stadium uses a walk-through facial recognition. The company is called Clearview I believe. It's on the app you set it up before you go and then you just walk straight through with your entire party.

A SpongeBob dark ride….. it might’ve taken them over 20 years to do it, but Wow, am I happy this is a thing. When I was a kid, the closest thing we had to a SpongeBob ride was SpongeBob 3D, the one with the robot Patrick on the pogo stick who steals the pickle, (I absolutely loved that, it was my favorite at Kings Dominion) when this opens, I gotta find some way to get to Vegas….(yes I will fly out and get a hotel JUST for this SpongeBob ride) I’m definitely excited. I just wish it was a SpongeBob dark ride with the patty wagon as the ride vehicle.

I’ve spoken a bit more to it on social media. But I’m never one to say things like this shouldn’t be built in places like that around the world, as it can be helpful to make those places more accepting as they grow to attract more tourism. Maybe! (But there’s a rumor that the park may not open with Express at first to help manage crowds. After Express debuts maybe the hotel will offer it too as that adds so much Express capacity to the resort.)

As an older Universal fan, I'm boycotting this park until it gets Jaws or a Jurassic Park jeep ride. Nothing in this park screams I have to go. Compared to UO and IOA at opening this park seems more focused on hotels and restaurants. No ride really seems cutting edge like Jaws, King Kong or Spider-Man
