Great to see Everton getting a world class ground. I did love going to Goodson though. MCFC

Thanks, Colin. Although I could not see any 'coving' panels lying on the Southern Concourse, I have to wonder if that's what the blue cherry-picker at 16:00 mins was up to, as all the support struts along the top edge were already installed a while ago now. The Southern Concourse seems to have been cleared of most inventory and equipment, which suggests some new activity of some sort. They still have to dig more tree pits to the SE end of the overhang of the Viewing Gallery and also the mirror-image of the SE tree pits at the SW end, then also the installation of the wind-baffle arches aligned with each South Stand White Steel, before they get to lay the surface there with the family stones.

Thanks again, Colin. At 10:26 you can see they’re digging the pits ready for the ‘shelter’ (sorry, unsure of the technical term) at the north ‘tunnel’ entrance that will provide cover protection for vehicles (including the team bus) when they stop to let the players, manager and coaching staff out before games when the weather is rough.

Dunc: I am intrigued as to which planned drawings you are using for this reference. I think you'll find the plan for an overhead cover, a bit like a pergola, was shelved in the same way that the structures at the SW corner were. None of the plans from Sept 2020 show the gates/roller-shutter/sliding doors structures at the Western corners any more, nor do the detailed West Concourse/Quay areas plans nor the Wind Mitigation final proposals. The hole(s) you identify would be in the wrong place for the structures if it were still a structure to be installed. A clue for the hole(s) are the cables threaded into the pit, suggesting an alternative purpose?

Wow what a video today Loads going on!! The one thing I don't understand is the rail seating. The seats look the same. What am I missing? Why are they different?
@cp-overview
@cp-overview 3 месяца назад
They just have a railing/barrier in front of them, so you basically can’t stand without a steward telling you to sit down

We'll be surprised tomorrow when we look at the roof. They are rolling out more insulation and the container is already waiting to be laid out 👊

Hiya Colin, can you zoom in on the Directors Box above the Dugouts and have a look at the seats they've been putting in coz they look like ordinary plastic ones , when really for the Directors Box they should be the Leather Luxury Seats 💺 like at Goodison which I've had the privilege of sitting in a couple of times..!! Thanks mate and keep up the great work UTFT 💙👌

Yes I will do, I have seen padded ones there , I just think folded up they look similar to normal seats. But I will have a good look Sunday 👍

Martin: I think you'll find the leather plush seats are there for the Hospitality Lounge attendees but not the Directors'/Sponsors'/Company Boxes' plush-er seats.

@@davidbadcock2225 I think that's a massive cock-up, I've had the privilege a few times over the years to sit in the Directors Box at Goodison in the 2nd row right behind Derek Hatton who sits in the front row and the leather seats are amazing and this is definitely an Everton thing this not putting Leather Luxury Seats in the Directors Box..!! Everton all over mate

@@martincummings7886 martin: I'm not sure that I have conveyed well such that you may have misunderstood my comment. There are to be 3 different categories of seating: A) basic plastic (for General Admission), B) medium-padded leather seats (For premium Hospitality Lounge attendees) and C) Top-notch leather seats (For Directors/Company/Sponsors etc). In broad terms all of the A and B seats have been installed but not yet C, which is the category you are referring to, I think.

@davidbadcock2225 Understood Thanks David and finally good news, hopefully next week we'll know who Moshri is selling the club to..!! Andrew Bell and George Downing hopefully both lifelong season ticket holders and have The Dell Organisation on board worth roughly £3/400Billion pounds between them all..🤞🙏💙😉

Hi Colin I really enjoyed that video ,thank you. At 9;30 have they laid a couple of flag rows halfway up the mezzanine? it looks like some polycarbonate has been placed on the East roof ready to fit..Do you know what will be laid between the blue flags and the main entrance, road flags etc? finally what will they put between the trees where the weeds keep growning,shrubs,flowers,woodchip?
@davidbadcock2225
@davidbadcock2225 3 месяца назад
John: here are some answers: 1) Flags halfway up the mezzanine? LoR have been laying the concrete flags on the mezzanine from the South migrating northwards for a while now. Do you mean somewhere else? If so try another reference point, please? 2) Yes, I'd agree that a package of Polycarbonate looks to have been placed on the middle-ish of the East Stand innermost roof section. 3) Are you calling the Main Entrance the Club Shop East Stand Portal, or some other place? If you DO mean up to the East Stand, then I can tell you that it will be all the blue-water effect concrete flags, getting progressively more blue/darker towards the East Stand facade. 4) They will be planting tall grasses and some flowering shrubs in the borders.

Hi, when the aluminium rolls are placed down do you know how they are securing it on to the roof once it is laid out. Nobody seems to be drilling any screws or bolts into it

It just clips in
@DarrenCowzer-cx7ot
@DarrenCowzer-cx7ot 3 месяца назад
They run a small handheld crimping machine over the joints, to solidify the connections. I think the attached parts on the West Stand were to tighten these connections too - connected with wiring?
@davidbadcock2225
@davidbadcock2225 3 месяца назад
Stephen: as Colin states. The male part of the clips are fitted beforehand (you can see them in rows running at 90d to the standing-seam strips) and the strips are then clipped on to them but also lip-over the previous upturned edging of the previous strip laid. In effect, each strip is attached in 2 right-angled dimensions.

How wide is the water channel going to be on the west side of the stadium
@davidbadcock2225
@davidbadcock2225 3 месяца назад
Anon: Varying widths, depending on the location, N-to-S, to which you are referring. The westernmost lip of the West Lower Promenade of the Western Concourse and the old Dock Wall, which you can plainly see if you follow the old Granite Coping Stones, do not run parallel.
