The F22 is supposed to be superior to the F35. So much so that the F22 never became authorized for being sold to allied countries. It has a unit cost by unit far superior to the F35. The Americans have released an updated version of the F22 because in delays for the NGAD project. I highly doubt that a F22 cannot easily down a SU57. The F22. Is a true stealth fighter with an even smaller RCS than the F35 where the SU57 actual stealth capability has always been doubted because of the actual shape and design of the aircraft. Leaving the F22 out of the SU57 worthy opponents is disingenuous.

Yes, maybe they assume it’s a given because for sure the F-22 would take our Both the SU57 AND the F35 before either knew it was there. Of course the F35 might have a better chance, but no question even in a close in dogfight the F22 is far superior.

The f-35 has a different role than the f22. Has a different mission. As for the felon, an f-18 can take one out. Hell an F-16 can take one out. Without all the fancy stealth.

Everything stealth beats the Su-57, which is not stealth. Besides which, there are only a handful of Su-57's even flyable. And NONE of the supposed Su-75, which exists ONLY as a non-flying prototype model and tons of very clever CGI.

Russian avionics has always been questionalbe, with India completely panning the Russian AESA radar. Likewise Russian jet engine development has trailed the west by generations, especially in reliability. The aircraft manufacturing specifications have limited stealth capabilities of Russian aircraft as well. The next generation US jet engines are going to further outpace Russian engines with mixed adaptive cycle jet engine development producing greater thrust and efficiency than their competitors. It is highly unlikely that Russia's limited economy can fund the development of truly leading-edge combat aircraft in the future.

The F35 is a pile of junk. Never should have gone into production. That said, everyone gets lucky eventually, apparently this F35 got lucky. I'm surprised it managed to complete a mission. Reliability is not the F35s strongpoint.

Tbh, im not a pilot but i think most pilots would say that the su 57 is a sufficient aircraft to defeat any jet in the air, it may or may not be the best, thats debatable sure but it may ne better at certain things and not as good in others. My point is i feel like a su 57 could kill any other jet in certain circumstances and the main point is with the right pilot flying it. That goes for any of the 4th gen us jets 5th gen us jets 5th gen chinese jets and 4.5 or 5th gen russian jets. It comes down to the pilot knowing the jet they are in well and their skill. The jets obviously can offer a good pilot advantages but they still have to be good at using the advantage. Make sense?

Didn't mean to leave out the French, British, or euro jets they are certainly capable as well. Even if they are considered 4th or 4.5 gen fighters.
