Sometimes you just have to find (your system) and do it every time. Not skipping anything and not being in a rush. My problem is balancing being too dang tedious which takes more time.

Great cut but I’m my years of experience fading down saves you a lot of time and going all around the head as well so you get the maximum usage of each guard People that do one side and then the other and the back have to pick up the same guard 3 times That’s just my method I respect everyone’s way of working but if you want to save a few minutes fade down and you’ll have a smoother blend because your not creating guidelines use a comb to detail the whole haircut at the end that will save you time as well so you don’t use guard after guard when detailing it at the end

Facts I remove things like stamping bald lines and I always clipper over comb first then my 1 1/2 blade up into the clipper I’ve comb then masters then 1A. 15 minutes tops

I see so many barbers using black combs for dark hair when they do clipper over comb. It's easier to see what your cutting with a white or lighter colored comb.

DBLG65 ask them if they are color blind, I asked one barber who use a black clipper over comb-comb and I passed a white one to him and he denied it bc he can see the hair better with the black one. It’s all personal preference if you can get the job done then you get it done

I've been cutting hair for 18 years and I hate using white comb or any light combs cuz it makes me dizzy looking both the hair and the comb. If you like to use light colored comb then go for it. It's all in the preference and comfort.

Instead of starting with a 1 and a half you should start with a number 4 to create your perimeter and go up to where you want it to be, you won't have to clipper over comb as much. And try using thinning shears to just soften up that ridge that's left when you created your perimeter.

Swear he thinks I'm a hairdresser. 😂 But he only trusts me. Now he wants to change up he's style. Long on Top, and blended short all the way up to the longest hair. I did do this and it turned out ok, but any tips please? I would appreciate it. Thanks. I hate cutting he's hair. But he always looks great. Oh, p.s. my shaver doesn't have a leaver, not half blades. So I basically just try and blend into it as best as possible. Tips would be great. Thank you. ☺️

Honestly I didn’t like it I learned to cut my own hair and have cut my friends hair too I guess you have a mis understanding of todays generation hair style You left hair on the top on the side, thats good, but its not enough. That has to be longer. Also, you didn’t make the square at the front. Since he is a white boy, doing the fade to short makes him look like is bald from the front sides. I would give you a 7 out of 10. Practice practice...

It was an ok cut, didn't see anything special about the technique, but maybe someone else picked up on something they can use. Big Tip- need to explain to the client what you are using and what you are doing to get the look, also style the hair so the kid can do it himself before he goes to school. No kid is going to get up and use a blow dryer and a brush before school. If kids can't do their hair in about 2 mins it's not getting done. Keep it simple they aren't stylists and most parents aren't either nor do they have the time. Just some tips from my 18 years in the business. Keep learning.

I so desperately want to take that weight off the parietal ridge with shear over comb... And why does 90 percent of RU-vid barbers do the same bald fade it’s like that’s the only cut they know how to do. I would like to see somebody do a trim on a old man with just your shears.
