New Fallout 76 Quick Start - 16 Tips in 9 Minutes! 

I picked up a "holy fire" (a unique variant of the flamer) but I've not used it extensively... Fuel is an issue... but I've seen a LOT of others run friendly fire... especially at events where you need to keep NPC's alive, works to heal them too!).

@@BluntyTV Holy Fire is good, but I recall it is missing a mod section the normal flamers have. I'll have to hop in game and run down a Beast of Burden event to grab another one. The latest season intro'd the Cremator, too. Basically pops a glob of 15 Fuel like the grenade launchers. As for Ammo -- There is a trick when you don't have the mats and/or the Ammo smith (?) perk. Carry around a weapon that uses the ammo you need. Seriously. When you are just running around, and especially when you know that there is 1 or more ammo containers nearby, just pull out the weapon and the breeders for the containers will morph to w/e ammo you have equipped. Whenever the "Safe and Sound" event pops, I pull out my UC Plasma Flamer (very expensive ammo) and I travel to the event. Run around the lot and then I pull out my Tesla for better XP snagging/tagging. After the event, I pull out the flamer, just in case I didn't get close enough to the 9-12 boxes that are there (ammo boxes, duffel bags, etc.) With Scrounger level 1, I walk away with a couple hundred units every time. You can do the same thing with your Holy fire, regardless of perks. Scrounger just gets you more and more consistently (even effects mob drops).

Each server, each 'world', has a (soft) cap of 24 players (it's "soft" to allow some wiggle room for friends to join otherwise "full" servers) - this is done to help keep the right "feel" of a fallout appropriate wasteland. SO you won't have to "deal" with other players involuntarily often - There are events, and certain kinds of missions that are best done with groups, but for the most part IF you want to go solo, you can. And even many of the group events are just a dozen people working toward a common goal and then parting ways again. It's pretty chill.

There are also private worlds for anyone with Fallout 1st. You can make adjustments to various server side options, or leave it an exclusive world to you and your friends. There are a few events that are just not made to solo, but they are the exceptions.
