Ok thanks for letting me know. I will see if I can make a dedicated carlinkit video. Might take me a while as I am busy with personal commitments over the next two weeks.
Also very keen to see how the Carlinkit interacts with the BYD system. A video would be great when you have time. I have tried loading apps onto my phone that will do multimedia like RU-vid or Netflix, but BYD Android seems to block their usefulness and only allows audio.
The charging will not wake up again when waking up means the car used to stop charging when battery was full and even though battery was full it would resume charging when you unlock it or open the door and it will no longer do that. Or so I assume. WOW! This is pretty cool. This car is a computer.
Hello and thank you for this informational content. I wish to know whether the BYD App Store does come Apple Music in its catalogue. Can you please confirm or not? Also, it would be greatly appreciated if you dedicate one video for this brand new App Store 😄.
We have the UK version Seal Excellence AWD. A couple of things are driving me mad. Firstly, I am unable to get a Login for the App. I have to use my partner's Login which means I get booted off if he logs in and secondly it is a technical breach of security. Secondly, the seat memories can only be called up after you have started the MMI and gone down several menus. Ideally the car would activate the correct seat position according to the key fob used to open it, but there needs to be an immediate button to call up the set seat positions. At the minimum it should be on the App. Another bugbear is that the navigation does not display lanes and junctions on the HUD. The whole idea of the HUD is to avoid having to glance at the MMI!
@@sameemtak We got it 6th March from the BYD showroom (run by Stratstone) in Mayfair London. We nearly got one from BYD Southwest but realised it was one of the first batch, which has the indicator stalk on the RHS, so we swapped for one from the latest batch. It is great to drive but the Tesla MMI is much better. A couple of cheap fixtures like the charge socket cover and flap and annoyingly they don't fit the dashcam on UK models. However, you can order a Seal dashcam from an independent supplier and just plug it in to the cable that is already there, and it picks it up through the MMI.
@@sameemtak You would think they could use the existing cameras, but it seems they have designed it to use an independent camera and then not fitted it to export models. It is only the size of a matchbox and goes inside the existing screen top binnacle.
Please could you do a video about your CARLINLK System connected to your Seal to see how It works ?? The CARLINLK Will provide to you to install any app as if It were a phone, ok!! However , what about wireless android auto?? You are forced to Connect your mobille phone/android auto to your CARLINLK android auto , right??? (Instead of using the BYD android auto, you Will use rye CARLINLK android auto) Does the android auto CARLINLK work well??? Thank you so much
Personally I think one pedal driving is just a gimmick and doesn't save much electricity. The worse thing is it makes the driving experience so jerky that passengers are reporting getting sick in electric cars. It's not the fault of electric cars, it's those brands who implement one pedal driving that's causing this. BYD chose not to implement one pedal driving and the driving experience is such an extraordinary comfortable ride.
