I click like on all your videos before I've even watched them, they are always great! They are by far the best farm videos on RU-vid. I like that you don't have a fancy introduction, that you include lots of information about the machines, and that you don't ramble on or try to make yourself a star. We see the machines, not you. Excellent Job!
This thing is unlike any other planter I've ever seen. That contouring row is really interesting. And it just looks cool. Crazy tools and accessories it comes with.
What is even more astounding than this planter is the superb explanation about this very smart planter.Thay should make anyone buying a planter like this watch this video first.
You would need 4 college degrees to fix a problem on that planter, such technologies to put seed in the ground. I’d like to see Bloomberg fix it or even know what it is. Go farmers!
Same goes with new cars. Not sure why you would want a Politician who is familiar with this sort of stuff. I would much prefer one who is familiar with history, economics, law, and political science. No one is good at everything.
I have been watching the one that Brians farming videos has been demoing. His is the 40ft version with the fendt 942 tractor. Its an awesome bit of kit. He had that running at 13mph and the fendt tractor has the same type of air system on its tyres, were it'll lower the tyre pressure for planting.
The Momentum 32 at the beginning of this video is the same exact machine Brian used. It was here planting corn in Kentucky at the end of March on local AGCO brand farm show in the opening clip. After corn finished here the planter headed up to Ohio.

Michael Taylor that’s quite the understatement. In Europe Fendt is THE flagship agriculture brand. John Deere is respected as is Case amongst European farmers, but Fendt is the King of the Hill. If you’re a serious farmer especially in dairy, you’re running a combination of Fendt and Claas machinery. And for good reason, they’re innovative and have been two steps ahead of competition for a couple decades now.
@@Studio23Media Where I live seeing a Fendt on a farm is a sign that the farm is doing really well financially. Fendt machinery is expensive, but truth is that the quality is unmatched.
I see that too Jeff. The rows are out of the soil for maybe 4-6 feet. On a different note, I would venture to say this planter probably approaches that $1,000,000 price tag?? Other competing planters are already at over $500,000 with comparable row configurations. In my area back in the '90's I could buy 4-5 quarters of land for that much. I'd rather own the land.....
@@switzerblitzer2701 That is completely false. That planter is nowhere near 1 million dollars, and if you think it is, then you've probably never quoted one or a competitors near that size.
The thinking that goes into designing something like this is mind boggling. I'd need a month to get my head around all those features. They must have a back up team to instruct customers how to operate this machine. Crazy piece of kit.

It‘s very good to drive, very comfortable and when the heart is beating normal again after hearing the price, I had to say (and I am still saying it now after 4 years working with it): it is worth every single cent! Pretty neat, but it doesn't stay engaged with the ground on the terraces. hardly enough flex for that. Row units completely come out of the ground on them.
That flex/float is amazing! My only issue is all the technological systems that are on it are great when they’re working but I’ll bet they’re expensive to repair and doubt you could continue using the planter until they were.
Drapers do flex some I have one but very little. There isn't a draper in the world that can harvest on those contours which begs the question does anybody need a planter like that if you can't harvest the crop
*just use a very narrow harvester* would be my answer to that. Everyone knows getting the seeds in to the point of germination is the hard part I would argue and hence the thinking behind something as complex as this in the first place. Is amazing to watch. Can't imagine the cost to fix if you run over a rock!
Nice man if I had that at my farm man me and my buddy's would use on our fields but I cant go to my farm because it's like 10 or 9 miles away and I own two houses 1 at the farm and one here but my main houses is here.
be interesting to see if you blow a tire and have to use whatever you have laying around if the quality of planting is destroyed, cause ya know your gonna do whatever to keep the process going
BTP, I've been watching this planter on Brian's farming and I am wondering about how the offset change is handled switching from 32x15 for beans to 16x30 for corn. Also curious how they lift the unused row units for 16 row operation.
Not on the Fendt. They have a new frame design that allows for a full 48 and 32 rows on the split row. The 32 should be back here for double crop soybeans in June. I will go over the frame design changes.
The row units are based one the WHITE. These is more to talk about the how the made 16/32 and 24/48 split row vs. all other brands that do spit 16/31 and 24/47. I hope to film the Momentum seeding double crop beans in wheat straw next month to talk about the row units.

@@echutch you by chance wouldn't be those type of farmers that try to farm 5 counties away from where they belong? If you need to blame anyone about the current state of the Ag economy, start with them. This use to be a game about how much you could make per acre, now they turned it into a game about volume, which not all farmers can compete with.
Uuuhhhhmmm, yeah I'm about halfway into this presentation and I'm already going "you have really lost me, I get it you got some pretty cool German engineered equipment there. It better be pretty bullet proof/ infantry proof dependable otherwise it's just over engineered junk it's going to break down at critical moments in probably spend most of its time in the repair bay of the dealership". If it is very dependable it'll be very popular I'm sure.
This video is a nuts and bolts type video for someone who might want to try one and want to know all it can do. I just got a 24 row model filmed This week and it will be a 10 minute video showing it in action and giving some basic specs. More fun style video but I appreciate AGCO taking time to share lots of details on this one.
