For those wondering, yes i am a NEW ff7 fan! I played remake a few years ago, then I watched a bunch of videos on what happens in the OG! I played crisis core reunion (sorry there's no videos of that game!). I know the main events that happen in FF7 but I'm experiencing it myself for the first time! Thanks so much everyone for all the love here.
As much as I’m happy that a new generation of gamers can play FF7, the Remake trilogy is a love letter to OG players. For me, I played it back in 1997 when I was 15. Much simpler times. When I played Remake, it was like seeing old friends again. And Rebirth hit me so much harder than I thought. I knew THAT moment was coming. Many of us did. And we didn’t need to see bloody detail. In our minds, that scene has been cemented for decades. And to see it again, it made me feel like crap, like how the heck did we fail Aerith again?! But now, in some way or form, she is still alive. There’s a group of gamers who hated that we didn’t get a 1:1 remake of the game. I’m the opposite. I think it’s pure genius that we’re going on a crazy rollercoaster ride through multiverses and it doesn’t matter that we don’t understand everything. Anyway, thanks for the video. Till we meet again. ❤️
Aw, i love this so much! One of the reasons i love playing and experiencing games for the first time is to connect with people like you! I cannot wait until game 3, until we meet again! 😭💜
@@kjh4496it's not the original...givin the ps1 limitations...who's to say this wasn't the "original" intention. Appreciate the vision or simply move on. Everyone that's been hating on this game because its not a 1:1 have attachment issues that stem further than a 1997 game. Move on.
@kjh4496 why and how does it ruin the original? If you are talking about how things play out, it ends at basically the same point. Aerith is dead and helping from the Lifestream, Cloud is losing himself and in possession of the Black Materia and the party is on they way to the Northern Craiter to give it to Sephiroth's actual body. The only major difference is Cloud is in an even worse spot since he is either coping so hard he's hallucinating Aerith or Jenova is appearing to him as Aerith and manipulating him. (If not both.) Characters goals and motivations are the same, pretty much all the same stuff happens in a similar enough order, we are just being given more hints and information from all of the characters. On top of all that, it doesn't change the original. You are free to return to that whenever you want. So I don't understand how you think it ruins the 1997 game.
I have never seen a streamer first try sephiroth final phase like that. Very impressive. If you don't kill him in time for that circle of whispers to collapse during the end is nigh attack your party dies. Loved your reactions. They seem genuine. Was hoping to hear your thoughts on the game, and what you would rate it, and which did you like better, remake or rebirth? Cheers
Thanks so much! I’m glad you enjoyed it. I absolutely love this game & i still think about it so often!!! I’d rate the game a 9.5/10 the only knock down is that i am dying to know what’s happening next!!! LOL. I really loved all the mini games in their own frustrating ways, the quests were so fun and added really interesting lore into the story! I think i liked both for different reasons, remake i loved because the adventure was so much fun!! Rebirth i loved because it got me even more invested in each of the characters & their story 💜
2:14:14 i don't get how Sephiroth's screwing with Rufus here the same way he does with Cloud. I'm wondering if Rufus is infused with Jenova Cells (at least in the Remake/Rebirth timeline/storyline), now that would be interesting 🤔
The fact that they made us wonder so much if Aerith would die again or not just shows how this was all planned. They WANTED us to be shocked again, they WANTED us to believe we might be able to save her. But we couldn’t, and that’s how they’re bringing that feeling of pure loss and denial to new and old players alike. It’s just genius I have the big feeling that in pt.3 we will have the full scene of her death as it happened, because Cloud has blocked so much of it, it’s the unreliable narrator at its finest
I guess for those of us that played the og, the emotions are there no matter what cause that moment will replay in the mind over and over. I like new ideas so you don't go through all the exact same thinys but the death scene shouldn't have had so much squeezed into it. The mood kept changing too much. Aeriths theme coming in hard as the boss fight started really turned up the sadness imo. I like the reactions and hearing the characters speak really helped. I just felt more with the old version that's all.
@@bradhorowitz2765 the gist of it yes, i do know the differences between the OG and remake/rebirth as well. My friend made me learn everything important 😂
