I think Devil Kazuya only activate on specials and smash attacks. For his rage art (red glow) I think that's his comeback mechanic. Also if he trades on his f-smash at least that's when it will crumple the opponent. Rage as a mechanic in fighting games originated in Tekken btw.
With more analyzing I've noticed when Kazuya throws people in the lava he get a slightly more purple glow. This is what could lead to Devil Kazuya. It's a snowball mechanic
@@manligi9701 if your talking about rage then your wrong. Rage powers up base stats a little. Super Street Fighter II Turbo doesn't have rage and popularized super combo meter but the Super meter originated in Art of Fighting.
@@tyrone2423 My bad. I got it mixed up. Street Fighter Alpha 2 had rage first through round deficit back in 1996. I'm sure there were games before that that had its own version of rage, but yeah. Tekken 6 was probably the game that implemented rage a little more prominently and overall better tho I never brought up supers, but hey
Of course he will tekken is one of the hardest fighting games to play alongside King of Fighters and this is coming from someone who owns both tekken and kof
kazuya also does tend to struggle vs pressure in tekken as well. his movelist notoriously lacks panic/get off me moves. his playstyle is mostly summarized as whiff punishment and block punishment that transitions into his strong okizeme vortex (basically tech chase in smash). and his only means of pressuring an opponent is his potent but risky crouchdash approach mixup. tekken is almost exclusively a command normal game. not many moves with fancy inputs especially not on kazuya with the exception of his crouchdash attacks.
This was the first reveal that officially had me hyped. Seriously, Simon has been the best reveal in Ultimate. Bomberman as a Mii Fighter was the second thing to get me really excited about this game. But everything between has been whatever to me.
@@falo4043 Terry was unexpected and turned out to be awesome. I wanted an Arms character, but MinMin was the most boring choice. And I was legit excited for people getting Banjo. Not a character I wanted, but everyone else did, so I was happy for that. But ya, none of these characters felt like MINE. You know?
@@spiritedchung5926 same here. i was researching tekken roster just some months ago for fun after the polish prime minister character was revealed. so i got the lore behind kazuya a bit but damn wasnt i expecting kazuya in smash
The character is really cool even if I have no idea who is is but I wish they made his trailer a little more interesting. Even byleths trailer was more interesting imk
"warrior"? Really? As a long time fan of Tekken it is not right to call them warrior they are clearly called Fighter, which mind you is much more appropriate. The Demon Gd fist is not a straight punch, it is a right hook to the abdomen. What i mean that move is very new, but if you play Tekken 7 then it is the beginning of Kazuya's Rage art
@Emile Godefroid Munyampara Sorry, but i've seen like 20 people on the internet yesterday saying he's "another generic shoto from a generic fighter anime game no one cares about, the only good thing about it is that he don't have a sword" it makes me want to punch the wall so hard like wtf they bring in the best possible characters they can and people always complain because their character didn't entered like literally the only bad choice of character until now is byleth because he don't bring nothing new in terms of gameplay, design, personality and franchise to the game but even the ones that people complained like pyra and mytra are cool because they can change in the battle and they have a cool moveset, and they bringed like joker, steve, terry, banjo, sans, hero just great characters
