I know you've been busy, and I knew the wait would be worth it. Let me just say you didn't disappoint. In fact, you've greatly exceeded my expectations. This is the second radio I've ordered from you DRail and you've raised the bar that's amazing. Thank you.
@DRail1990 no worries about the delay. Ordering a heavily modified radio is like getting a tattoo. If they can get on it the same or the next day, you're probably at the wrong shop.
@@DRail1990 Saving this video cause this is exactly what I want. Get upwith you soon on the price. And meanwhile im gonna start selling some radios and amps haha! I gotta feeling im gonna have sticker shock.Love the variable options! Havent heard of anyone around Knoxville with one of these. But then again I been mostly out the game for a while...Awesome work yall doing.
On second thought aftr looking at the website....nah 1900 bucks is about double my price. and even then half that woulda been just paying you for you amazing voodoo. Somebody else will be doing the HiFi stuff from the factory soon enough. I'll just use my 100 dollar cell phone haha.
@tphillips696 if all you want is hifi then just add the hifi just because I offer 15 different options doesn't mean you have to click them all. I can do as little or as much as anyone wants. 955 with hifi tx is $740 tuned and all. 447 with hifi tx is $530 with tune and hifi. 447 sounds better than anything out there so look into them.
Butt F@!#ed bent over the bench in the desert doesn't have anything on D-Rail's Radios! From all the Radios I've ever heard in the 26 years I've been driving truck, D-Rail produces the best sounding Radios in a mobile application PERIOD! After my wife and I get back from Hawaii at the end of November for our Anniversary, you can bet I'll be ordering a 955 from this Gentleman. I can't believe what I'm hearing. Never knew a radio could sound so good!
I have gotten one just like this radio from you after this video, and its no ways the radio you are showing. I just put it back in the box because I don't like it and put in my stock Anytone 5555Nll back in line bacause I'm seeing more watts out my amps with it. I know I can send it back but then the hole keeps getting deeper.
Most trucks are 14.3 some are more I don't remember the last time I checked an alt at 13.8. The difference is not major even at 13.8 from 14.7 maybe 10 watts less ish
Very nice! One day i hope to have extra cash laying around so i can send in my version 1 and have it done like this one. Only thing i would add i think is the external tone control. I'm also digging the all mode hifi. Great video but i would've liked to here how it sounds in fm and most importantly ssb. 73's 👋👋👋
@Dizachster713 right on! I currently run a galaxy 88 on AM and it does great but I don't exactly care for the tone of it. Hopefully we both get the money up to send one in some day. 👍👍
@@Tinman386wisconsin I just sold my 88 to my mentor. I got a galaxy 959 and a a ranger tre top one and a ranger 2950DX but those are gonna be setup to use something else I got in the works.
Over $1000 dollars, I would have to add all options. Look in the description their is a link to our website, and all prices are listed. Also, if you would like to call, the shop number is 706-384-5184. Call anytime during the week.
@ryback6060 I make a ton of recordings for customers in the front door before and after etc but I don't ever do on RU-vid itn not a bad idea at all. I may of made a recording for supertruck on RU-vid a few years ago if you can find that video.
@ryback6060 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-U420BozbasI.htmlsi=Pl7cC6ggP9aW8fPd here you go this is 3 or 4 years ago but is what you asked for I've made alot of improvements since then as well.
Soooooooooo regarding the Hifi how would that work out for a gal? Id' like to check it out in the future if it gives my audio more rizz, but would it make me sound too gruff? Also what size power supply to run this? -Cookie
Not at all serra 880 is a good example of fidelity from a lady. She's out of Colorado. I would naturally not push for the heavy bass boost but rather just fullness and great range with good body to fill in. A 25 amp power supply would work, but I wouldn't use anything less.
I have a V1. It decided to randomly start throwing high SWR alerts... Then on the next key up it returns back to sub 1:1. Can do it while the truck is stopped and turned off. I almost always blame the antenna systems first... damn if I can find any issues. Top shelf installation. Coax is protected the entire way. Ever hear of these units having issues? I bought it new when they came out. Never had an issue with it.
I'm D-RaiL Wolfman is my father, but we charge $130 to install the larger transistors that include the tuning necessary to the lc network and bias, etc.
I have 2 new v1s I had 4 on Friday but I don't leave an option on them specifically for what you can choose it's kinda all the way or not at all but I have 2 used with box one very very clean and 2 brand new they are on the website Wolfmanelectronics.com. You'll have to call for the price on the used ones 706-384-5184
When you show the Spectrum Analyzer screen you say you are looking at the "Harmonic Content". With only a 30MHz span you are not even looking at the 1st harmonic which would be 54.410MHz. What is being shown here is just that the modulation isn't splattering to adjacent channels. A look at the signal on an Oscilloscope would be ideal for showing how clean the modulation is and would show what the symmetry looks like
Actually most of the thd in a cb radio is shown from a 30mhz span nothing you can do to eliminate the 54mhz so what's the point in showing what can't be majorly improved. From the factory a general lee, Stryker, Galaxy, connex, ranger etc all have issues in that particular 30mhz span this is what can be tuned and manipulated and improved. This is far too spread for imd looking at all that can be seen with a scope and adjusted with mic gain.
@@DRail1990 the 54MHz would be part of the Harmonic content that is to be measured to be so many dB down from the fundamental. You can't eliminate it fully but most radios do have an adjustment to minimize it. I'm not telling you anything you don't already know. I only mention it for those that don't know what they are being shown. The part you do show on the Spectrum Analyzer does look good. But it is not a Harmonic. And an Oscilloscope would be the tool for looking at how clean the audio signal is
@natewelch6490 take a new general lee or ranger out of the box and put it on a spec analyzer at 30mhz wide this is the number 1 area hands down for the worst harmonic content in any cb radio and it can go from horrid to perfect done correctly. 54mhz is so little of improvement from internal adjustments it's not even worth looking at. If you tuned new cbs on a spectrum analyzer you would know this already and not be worried about 54mhz. The ham guys focus on 54mhz for their boxes and radios bc they don't have any other thd to worry about it's no existent in their design so they go further with tons of filtering to improve 2nd 3rd order 54 etc. I'll say it one more time and I'm off too bed the area to improve and tune upon in a cb radio is at a 30mhz span don't take my word for it hook one up and see.
@@DRail1990 I've hooked up many a radio to a spectrum analyzer before. The service monitor I have is very similar to yours. I know what you are talking about in the 30MHz span. All I'm telling you is the stuff in that range is not a "Harmonic". Spurious emissions or modulation distortion yes. But that is not the same as harmonics
@natewelch6490 I get what you're saying terminology. Not a harmonic of the Fundamental but just overall power loss across the spectrum. Changing my verbiage would be more accurate I'm with you. Happy Father's day coming up.
