LOVE the side by side fridge. Don't like bending over to get stuff out of a bottom drawer freezer. I'm 6' 3". BTW, that paper towel holder is in it's travel storage spot. It's actually made to come out and sit on a counter when parked.
The styling will age well, unlike the ridiculous graphics and logos that other brands seem to love using. Love that they have elected to go with physical controls. Touch screens have been a disaster. Brinkley is on my shopping list.
Some very cool features, but then there are other things where they are not thinking things through or have never tried using them. Like the ottoman it looked like it was a hard seat. A dinner guest will not enjoy sitting on it. The storage above the couch the doors open to the side vice up, this is great for shorter folks. My wife wants to know if I can retrofit those entry steps onto our trailer.
We just had an opportunity to see this model in person at a local RV show. LOVED IT! Price point was actually very reasonable. Especially when comparing to other units from manufacturers that are well respected for "listening to customer feedback" and building "quality units". As you pointed out, looking inside drawers of other well-respected brands and seeing rough cuts - complete with splinters ready to dig into your fingers, really makes the Brinkley quality even more apparent. We saw things in those brand new units like hinge screws pulled loose (under sized screws), sofa side tables with nothing more than Luan side panels (that had already popped loose with NOTHING in the side stand), and much more poor design and detail work. Just walking around inside the 2900 in person was like being in a different world from literally every other brand anywhere near that price. Thanks for your very informative videos.
This is model year 2 for Brinkley. They are a new brand built by RV guys that were dissatisfied with their industry and wanted to make something better. Search BTBRV's other Brinkley videos for more info.
There appeared to be a "slight" lip. I understand that if you put down a rubber shelf liner it keeps pantry contents from sliding and if you want to be doubly secure, you can put pantry items in plastic totes with a rubber base with handles. Anyway, this is what I do.
@@icare7151 There are little fiddles (a nautical term) on the shelves that were not obvious and I had to go back and look. I'm from the rubber-footed container school but I'm sure your method works as well.
Beautiful 5th wheel. My favorite feature is the fridge, they don't have super deep gallon holders in the doors, which allows for a much deeper main area inside. My least favorite feature is the location of the auto leveling control panel. Looks like you'd have to walk around the open door which you can't see around well enough to the hitching event. One of my my favorite features on our Montana is the location of the auto leveling control panel, right on the front of the side so you can see everything well while hitching. These 5th wheels are getting nicer all the time. Thanks! .
Love it! The graphics on the body are sleek and subtle, the interior is very muted and accommodating with mid to high market finishes. Bravo Brinkley, Bravo!
We purchased the 2900 in July and have taken 5 glamping trips so far. This is our 4th towable and first 5th wheel. Gets a lot of attention whenever we go and are asked about it constantly. Absolutely love the unit and are having a great time. Success … only issue is the shade in the door window is broken and dealer has gone Casper on us..
Can you address the plumbing in the bathroom/wardroom slide? What kind of hose and fittings are they using? Slides can be a challenge with plumbing hose and if Brinkley is using flex hose with pinch fittings then a leak is inevitable.
Agreed! There is soooo much to like about Brinkley and this model. But … I hope Brinkley addresses this plumbing issue. As another person mentioned, RV Rigor Repair “Undercover RV Tech” reported that most of the 2900 is plumbed correctly and even had some brass fittings except in the areas noted by dstuck6368.
Love the Brinkleys! Just got back from doing a few factory tours last week, one of them being the Brinkley factory, and we are still really impressed with the innovation and quality in their product. They have a new toy hauler, the G3950, coming next spring that we are strongly considering buying.
I just love the look of all Brinkley floor plans and their decor. I have never seen one that I didn’t like. I think I like them so much because they have a refreshingly different look than all the other RV’s out there, I’m honestly getting bored seeing the same old look all the time, so when I see companies changing it up a little bit I love it! Thanks for sharing this!
Thanks for the video! As you pointed out, I like the way they have included things that the average RVer ends up adding later anyway. The Furion camera already in place is something I haven’t seen before. I also liked the nice access panels in the pass through. The pass through space in our last fifth wheel was more a home for me due to one thing or another. I ended up redoing all the paneling on the back side of the pass through to ease access to that space. Nice to see Brinkley has considered that space might need to be accessed and put panels in place from the get go.
I would use that spot above the fuse panel for some small hooks that could hold keys. Perfect spot for that! I do like the squared off windows and that couch looks more residential than rv-ish and I like it so much better. Overall a very nice unit!
Very nicely built unit. I love having switches instead of touch screens. Having spent a lifetime working on factory automation, PLC systems, and “touch screen” operator interfaces, I am aware that they are very reliable these days, however, a minor failure can leave you completely dead in the water (so to speak). The average RVer will likely not be able to troubleshoot or repair in a timely manner. A defective switch is easily discovered and replaced in comparison. Brinkley is raising the imaginary bar that has prevented improvements in the industry for decades. Nice work.
Love these units except one thing, and its a big one. Slide on the camp side, wrong side IMO. Love to see a compact 26 ft couples unit with it on the other side. If they did, I'm all in.
I would love to see Brinkley venture out and do multiple bedrooms and lofts for bigger families. They are the best in design hands down. They offer more of a home feel…..in my opinion they can’t be beat.
I hear that the Brinkley folks are actual RV users which is why there are all of these useful additions included that RV buyers usually find they need to add after market. In some Brinkley models, I've seen pullout spice racks and other accouterments like that. The silverware drawer inside the dining table is also a thoughtful addition, but it wasn't mentioned if there is a leaf extension so 4 people could actually sit there comfortably. Behind the stove (which is a perfectly configured cooking area) the window is very nice but how the shades work, if there are any, wasn't mentioned. I also like the "coffee bar" area although the outlet was hidden behind the advertisements and was not mentioned. Little things like flip-down clothes hooks in the bedroom and towel hooks in the bathroom are very thoughtful. The bedroom with the queen bed is well apportioned and as you mentioned the side tables are (to me) critical in any bedroom. The bathroom is also nicely done and nicer than found in most RVs. I'm assuming the toilet and sink still can be used if the bedroom slide is in. Can it? There are only four changes I'd ask for were I to buy this: Please make the recliners white like the sofa, give me a convection microwave, a Fisher and Paykel dishwasher (at counter height - not on the floor), and somewhere a combo Splindide washer and dryer. None of those options were mentioned. Nice tour. Beautiful and functional RV.
Love this rv, I see they cut no corners when it comes to storage lol looks like anywhere there can be storage there is storage, I even like that they have a pocket under the sink instead of the usual cheesey fake drawer that always gets broken, really like that huge pass through storage too, that's a dream rig for sure
I like everything about this unit! They did a great job. I especially like manufacturers that don’t use floor vents! The only small complaint I have is the double door to the exterior storage and wet bay. I would rather have two separate doors. No good reason for my opinion, I just don’t like double doors like this. Oh, the only other issue I have is the side by side refrigerator as they won’t hold large items such as a sheet cake, large pizza box, etc.
I love the Brinkley's when I look at different Fifth wheels I compare them to the Brinkley's. I would need a washer / dryer in it I would be living in it full time. I do not like microwaves
This is a beautiful fifth wheel and I love the construction. JD I know you don't do loading tests of fifth wheels, but I'd like you to do one. If you could pick an average fifth wheel or even your unit at home I would like you to weigh the tongue weight of an unloaded fifth wheel and then put (for example) 500 lb of gear or weights in the main compartment . I would like to know what that adds to the tongue weight I'm suspecting some of it adds weight to the trailer wheels and some of it is distributed to the actual hitch. The reason I'm asking is that this fifth wheel would give me approximately 1500 lb of leeway in regards to my cargo carrying capacity. I know that it wouldn't be definitive for every fifth wheel, but I would like to see it tried. Thank you so much for everything you do and I've enjoyed your Hershey videos. I hope you go back again next year.
I love the upper deck which is very similar to my Roamer 264RLS except there is no front wind shield (my front window just got broken) and no washer/dryer prep. What a beautiful unit!! couple thousand pounds heavier though.
Very nice unit! Just no W\D hook up. It would be nice if the slide skis were stainless steel, not replacing the plastic ones every few years would be nice.
I have 2 negative thoughts on this unit. 1. I would rather see a French Door refrigerator with bottom freezer. I cannot fit enough in a side x side. 2. I didn’t see an outlet at the “coffee station”. It may have been behind the information card. Other than those 2 items, I think this is beautifully done.
I love every model we've seen and Brinkley is definitely our next RV. Our preference is a toy hauler and we're hoping they get a lighter model out soon. We haven't seen the Z3610 in person yet but it's a possibility if we can't afford a G.
Very nice rig, so many positives. I’m not keen on gray interiors, too cold & trendy. I trust they have some interior package options. Very nice rig. Thanks JD.
All slides need slide toppers. Especially if you are not up to climbing on the roof each time you pull in the slides to sweep the slides. More RV salespeople need to stress their value vs. their cost (I think it's $700/slide.)
Your reviews are always very well done. We are not fans of the north south bedroom due to aesthetics and small wardrobe space. Brinkley solves both of these issues. I wish the used the drop gown lighting in this one for the 3500. That round drop down light in the 3500 is horrible. Thanks!!
Until Brinkley gets rid of the plastic bathroom sink, we’ve still got an error. Regardless of their reasonings - “it can be cleaned with any chemical” excuse. We all know what plastic is.
Love the Brinkley brand, I personally have plans to purchase a G model. Supposedly they are coming out with a new floor plan, a G3950. Do you have any information on that?
Why do so many of these designs show filled with windows but if you see it in use by an owner all the windows get covered up for privacy and heat/air cond savings ? Do they add all the windows to make it appear larger but it actually wastes energy.
Not good time to buy new rv. Interest rates up, new units don’t retain value and contracting economy means plenty of nice used rvs coming up. If you have some. Cash get a good deal in next several months. This industry is in trouble like 2008
Beautiful unit aside from the Queen bed, that’s disappointing. Also not a fan of bathroom direct access from bedroom, no privacy. A King on a slide and outside kitchen, and that’s a solid winner!
People need to stop calling this floor plan a "rear living room". There is no living room. There's a sofa, some theater seats, and a t.v. in the corner of the kitchen.
In a real sticks and bricks home it would be a (coveted) "open floorplan." I think, to be accurate, one might call it "the TV corner." So, yes, you are right. I live alone in my 40.5 ft. RV, so I never gave it any thought. Your comment made me laugh.
