Why do we have to pay MIJ prices to get a joint carve and 24 frets? Still no SS frets. Use the DK neck joint carve as appears on some sig models. There's no reason that shouldn't be on every guitar you make.🎉

I just got the black and gold San Dimas today, it’s bloody amazing. It’s so comfortable to play and it came setup really well straight from the factory. It’s a mix between my reissue HM strat and an EVH 5150 guitar, phenomenal!

I have MIM ash body san dimas from 2018 and it's a sick guitar wouldn't sell it or trade it for any other axe. In fact my guitar playing improved so much thanks to this amazing guitar. Fantastic guitars

@@MajorDook1Stop it bro. No stainless steels frets at this point is a 100% legitimate complaint. Do you know that a refret is anywhere from $400 to almost $800? That's ALOT of freaking money. You can easily kill nickel frets in less than 2 years, and I don't want to to hear any different because I've seen it over and over again. I got my first stainless steel fretted guitar in 2019. I've played it tons in these last 5 years, and it has virtually no wear to the frets!

if you are the person re-fretting the guitar, the benefit is, nickel is softer than steel and easier to "work". the job is faster, easier, and in a few years they'll be back for another re-fret. repeat business. putting steel frets on a guitar is slow, difficult, and you need to rebuy a few tools for working steel. also, that person isn't coming back for a re-fret after stainless steel has been installed. their grandchildren might need to re-fret it in 50 years or so, if it get's played enough. is there a benefit to using nickel frets as a *player* though? no. none whatsoever. steel is superior in every way.

To be honest, the only Charvels I care about, is the DK24 / 22 models. I wish they would focus more on them or make these guitars more like them. I love my DK24. It's my favorite guitar to play. They have one of the best heel joints and upper fret access of all the super strats on the marked...so why do they still make most of the guitars with these fat, old, clunky-ass heel joints? I don't get it... And since it's 2024 and not 1984, it would be nice to see less floyds and more stainless steel frets. But I do wish they would bring back the old Charvel logo or make a new one. Anything would be better than the current logo that is desecrating the iconic strat headstock. Why is there a guitar shaped logo with what looks almost like a PRS style headstock on a strat headstock?? The whole logo is shaped like a PRS Santana signature with a Silver Sky headstock. It's like if BMW made a new logo and they made the logo look like a Ford F150 pickup truck. This really needs to change....it makes me want to try and remove the logo from my guitar...

A lot of people want "traditional" \ vintage style guitars and will pay more for them. I don't really understand it myself, but everyone has their own preferences I suppose. Some people never really play above the 15th fret anyway lol.

Couldn’t agree with this more!!! Although they did just release a few new colours for the DK24, I think they’re functionally identical to previous ones (ie. no stainless steel frets unless you wanna pay 5 grand for a USA model which is nuts)

Why complaining about Floyd Rose? Any suggestions? With the exception of Jake E. Lee Charvel (by the way, his original Charvel indeed was a Fender Strat...) almost every model seen in the 80´s included a Floyd Rose, original or licensed. Charvel / Jackson, and every other brand had one. You couldn´t become a real Guitar Hero if you didn´t know how to play with a tremelo bar.

It's so interesting how divisive FR are. For me, if a guitar doesn't have one, I won't love it. The big issue for me is the nickel frets. My DK24 has the softest frets in any guitar I've ever played. It's about 5 years old, but has more wear than some of my 20+ year old guitars.

@@NathanMichalikThey're not divisive. They're simply a pain to work on, and take far too long to setup compared to a Gotoh trem. Not only that, they're expensive to maintain, and any tech regardless as to whom they are, and where they are, is going to charge extra purely because it's a Floyd.
