Hes not a pedophile. He was on a chatroom for people 18 and over and this girl lied about her age. His wife called the cops on him for it since they were in a nasty divorce battle. He was acquitted of all charges.

She tried virtually everything to smear his name so that she'd get the sole custody of their children. The court eventually dismissed all charges against him, but the damage had been done. Rumors had already spread like wild fire, while the truth about his innocence was still using dial-up modem, LOL. She successfully tarnished his reputation and destroyed his main source of income, and this whole nasty situation forced the other members of the band (which were third party collateral damages) to fire him. I believe it was a very hard decision by the band. Well, like Steve wrote in Boy Crazy, some girls are _actually_ crazy. How ironic is it that he made the mistake of marrying one.
