New Found Gold’s COO Greg Matheson takes viewers on a tour of the Keats Trench, giving them their first view of channel sampling occurring along 27 lines that cross the gold-rich zone at Queensway North. Channels are sampled similar to drill holes, and sent to the lab for assays. With gold starting at surface, channel cutting the area is a way to provide greater detail to the mineralization and the potential for further de-risking of the project going forward.
Greg also provides an important update on the Iceberg Zone, only 200 meters to the northeast of Keats.

Thank you Greg for explaining this. It is very interessting. I never saw a company communicate so openly what they do. Please continue the great work. This will become a great project.

Wow this is cool to see gold bearing bedrock so close to the surface.

Supergene surface samples will be stronger than the 40 to 120 feet deep samples.. If there is visible gold it has to be core drilled to 1,000 plus feet of depth for initial evaluation of probable ore body that would require deep blocked out 50 to 100 foot centers with deep core drilling beyond 1,000 feet

Amazing video Greg:Thank you¡¡Mining exploration is the right way to look for new resources¡¡Without exploration there's not nothing¡¡

Do you think you guys will use bigger tow behind diesel pumps (4" to 6") in the future or just smaller trash pumps? I have a lot of experience running them (that's what I've been doing for the past 5 years) and would love to get a job back home running them there. Currently in Alberta but would love to move back to NL.

Thank you Greg for a clear, concise explanation of the trench and channel sampling process currently underway at QWN. It's going to be great to come out this summer and view the two areas being sampled and visit with the awesome team at New Found Gold!

An open pit placer mine has been identified in Egypt by G Drumm. Similar in size to today's strip mines, there is no historical record of this mine's period of high production although it is again in production now. Nile delta drill cores and population density maps strongly support dating of peak production of this mine at 14 thousand years.

Why do we erase history? So that it is more easily repeated.

Dowsing the gold with the modern light weight ball bearing dowsing rod will decipher all aspects about this gold deposit. The physics involved in dowsing is the same physics used for the electronic gold metal detector with being reverse engineered in the book: The Art of Dowsing - Separating Science from Superstition ($14.95), by Michael Fercik. Instructions for building the modern light weight ball bearing dowsing rod and dowsing the lessons will turn anyone into a professional dowser. This is the only dowsing rod that precisely gauges what is being dowsed by potting the energy of gravity against the energizing of the pure one-tenth ounce dowsing rod load that is attached on the elevated acetylene welding rod, which free spins on ball bearing. The accurate dowsing deciphers all edges, exact center, depth buried with angle of deposition, and most important is grading or determining the amount of the dowsed element that is contained in the elemental mass that is being dowsed.

The overburden has to be removed from bedrock veining for geologists to get a clear idea of the whole geophysical picture. The mining infrastructure that eventually goes in underground will see a great deal of wasterock deposited at the surface in stockpiles. Remediation of mines and the surface environment once they’re done is paid for in the run-up to commercial production. Mining projects run in the billions(as I think this one will) and the forest gets cleared off as the overburden is removed. The remediation and water sampling care and maintenance is part of the closing up of the business years down the road. They make holes in the ground, it’s messy. Lots of mud and machinery and noise. But if you really want to look up the cost of reclamation, it’s probably going to go into the preliminary economic analysis once the channel sampling and drilling is completed, and the total available resource is tallied up. Nobody’s a sculptor here. It’s all engineering and geophysical work mostly. When they cleared the land for the city you live in, were you there to complain about how all the trees were cut back and never replaced? At least here, they’re under obligation to provide for the eventual reclamation.

@@effingsix3825 difference is... I need a place to live. No one needs more gold there is plenty above ground. Furthermore this narrow vein crap is totally unmineable hence the stock price.

@@user-bz8dv3lx5x if you want, you can volunteer to personally replace all the trees by hand. Gold mining gets the lion’s share of exploration dollars. In terms of abundance, gold is rare as it’s used in its traditional role of a store of value. The precious metals markets as a whole represent maybe 1% of the total investment dollars, when at one time, it used to represent 5% of the total investment dollars. If you build a gold mine in this kind of rock, it’ll last for decades, and always turn a profit. Whether you like it or not, this mine will get built at the expense of some acreage in the forest. It will contribute to Canada’s economy, providing benefits to society as a whole out of the money that’s literally dug up out of the ground. If the prospect fails, because many exploration prospects do, then someone else will come along and restart proceedings. Will the mine get built in this cycle? Really good question, as they haven’t tabled a resource. Am I insulted by how low the share price is? No, because I want my entry point to be as cheap as possibly can be managed.
