0:33 I would imagine a large part of why this camera exists is to replace the Vista since Caddx and DJI are no longer working together.

It is very easy to setup. Everything connects together out of the box, and then you just add your own 4 channel receiver.

The original camera has a chip that allows adjusting more settings. It will work in low latency mode or high quality mode as well as 4:3 and 16:9. Some of the Caddx Vista cameras can also do this but the ones that do not only do 16:9 and high quality mode. I still think the original and Caddx Nebula Pro cameras are the best quality.

Flight Range??? This is an RC plane which means you decide on the flight range based on the receiver you place in it and the radio you use.

Confusing. After going to the Runcam website, it appears that they call the camera itself 'wasp' and the VTX 'link'. It's a Camera + VTX combo if you buy both.

Correct. The camera has the image sensor and much of the specs. It can be connected to many different main bodies. The main body that can be included as a pair, sends out the video signal and also acts as a receiver to connect to a flight controller.

Hello, thanks for the video. I'm just getting interested in FPV for fixed wing and haven't bought anything yet. Here's my question: When looking at FPV Camera specs, how do I know if I'm looking at an HD camera or not? Is the equipment you're using in the video HD?

So for HD, which is also called DIGITAL, the market is filled with different competition, and for each video transmitter, the pilot needs the compatible Goggles. As an EXAMPLE: -DJI 01, 02 Air Units, as well as CADDX VISTA and RUNCAM Vista, use the DJI FPV Goggles VERSION 2. -DJI 03 Air Units use the DJI FPV Goggles VERSION 2 and DJI Goggles 2 (there is a difference between the two). -Walksnail Avatar requires that you use the AVATAR FPV Goggles -HD ZERO requires that you use the HD ZERO FPV Goggles

It is entirely up to you. In my example of placing it in an RC Plane, it is not connected to anything in the plane other than a 2S Lipo battery for power.

Only one that meets that criteria is the DJI mini SE, or get yourself a used DJI MAVIC pro from 2016 (many are for sale used).

You get a full screen on what? Nothing is 4:3 anymore, im new to fpv trying to get into the hobby and watching a bunch of videos are the goggles display in 4:3?

4:3 was the standard aspect ratio for FPV because in BOX GOGGLES it looks the best. Most camera sensors in phones, action cameras on the market today are 4:3 and you switch to 16x8. Also in advanced goggles, like FATSHARK, with two eye pieces, 4:3 seems to give a more immersive view. On good quality goggles you can switch to 16x9 if desired.

I avoid saying the price for the simple reason it is only valid the day I say it. I used to say the price 6 years ago in videos and guess what…. Now I receive comments on videos from people watching the video six years later and telling me I don’t know what I’m talking about because the product is now way more expensive then I posted in my video.

Why is everyone so excited about this camera when RC also has the Falcon which has wayyy higher resolution (1080p)? This goes only up to 720 at the same frame rate. Even the sensor is slightly larger in the falcon. Go for the falcon and don’t bother with this one people.

@@LoomyFPV I only speak when I have a way to back up my claims. In this case, I own both and my tests show the falcon to be a much more responsive and overall better value of the two. I honestly do not see a reason to go with this when for just $15 you can do better.
