I smelled Penguin from Zoologist at my local dealer. I told him to wrap it up immediately. Amazing stuff. The one I got came in a limited "iced" white and blue bottle. Incredible presentation, and the scent is about as cold as anything I've ever smelled before. Actually feels like it cools the air around the mist. Definitely get your nose on this.
I like Christine Nagle's work. Terre d'Hermes Extreme Vetiver, Terre d'Hermes Eau Givrée, H24. Thats pretty good. I generally liked Jean Claude Ellena's work, but sometines he was too cozy with cumin.
I started to enjoy a lot of classic fragrances. Never tried any of these Estée Lauder fragrances before but I’m interested to smell them especially Frederic Malle is involved in this project!
The citrusy feeling from New Look 2024 is from the limonene in the frankincense accompanied by aldehydes and amber which gives it the effervescent feeling similar to a freshly opened and poured can of Sprite.
Zoologist penguin reminds me so much of Margiela's Sailing Day. It's the juniper berries I guess. Very similar only Penguin took an icier and more ozonic approach while Sailing Day is overdosed with aldehydes freshness
I smelled Narcotic Delight at the mall. I suspect it’ll be a well received part of the line but after it dries down on my arm it smelled so much like the others in the Initio drydown. Not for me but I bet it’ll be a good release for them
A few weeks ago my SA at Saks (whose area includes the Initio/PDM section) gave me a sample of Narcotic Delight and had just gone through training with the regionals and they said that Narcotic Delight is their 17th fragrance and by the end of 2024 there will be 26 fragrances in the line - so NINE new ones coming out this year.
Im interested in Initio Narcotic Delight they say its similar to montale infinity which i own but initio blends notes differently so i would buy it anyway Thank you professor for bringing us this information 💯👏🏾💪🏾⭐🐐⭐🐐⭐🐐⭐🐐⭐🐐
I've smelled From The Garden by MM. I liked it but it might be one I'd prefer to smell in a different form rather than on my skin. I feel that way about many notes I'm learning. I'm eager to smell the new PDM which I heard about from the fragrance guy at Nordstrom.
Wonder if Narcisso is a regional thing in terms of in-store availability. I'm in Palm Beach and Macy's and Bloomingdale's have in-stock for pick up; Nordstrom does not. Palm Beach gets a ton of Europeans visiting during the holidays and during horse season. Wondering if there's some correlation?
I'm pretty sure you're well on the way to proudly displaying JPG Le Beau Paradise Garden and Paco Rabanne Phantom Intense on your top shelf for the world to see in future videos. By the end of 2024, your flirtation with niche fragrance houses and small indies that get little views will be on the backburner in favor of major designers!
There are several Bvlgari Man flankers that I like over the original. Such as Man in Black, Man Extreme, Man Black Orient, Man in Black Cologne, Man Terra Essence. Looking forward to the Man in Black Parfum.
I’m excited for Bvlgari Man in Black. I really like the last one. And the new Givenchy Society, I’m excited about the coffee not. I just got Mancera Amore Cafe and that is dessert in a bottle. Really delicious 👍🏻
I was just mentioning on Ashton's channels how unbelievable it is to see an edp of Bvlgari's Pour Homme just released. Nearly two decades of nothing in the line (I honestly thought it was discontinued at one point), and suddenly this. 😄 Perhaps an attempt at banking on the green trend? 💚 Either way, I'll be getting my nose on it for sure. There's hope for old fragrances yet!
I would not recommend blind buying any Zoologist perfume as they are often hyper-conceptual in an unwearable way, but then again if it’s the limited edition it should resell pretty well!
@tresbonoeuf I'm very familiar with Zoologist. I agree that I wouldn't recommend most people blind buy from them, but I'm quite experienced with them so I'm not scared.
Givenchy Téméraire and Fantasque are the latest from the higher end line. I smelled the former - interesting take on Tuberose. The latter's notes have not been published yet and I'm quite curious about it.
I really liked it is very chic : this Margela new parfume reminds me also of chanel 19 somehow, but is beautiful, very realistic to the name and chic also
Pure poison, la petite robe noire eau fraiche, la belle parfum, my way parfum, hypnotic poison, angel aura…. So many flankers better than pillar fragrance! ❤
I never understood the draw to unisex fragrances; why wouldn’t men want fragrances designed specifically for men and women wear things designed specifically for women?
I'm excited about Mugler's new release Alien Hypersense, I hope it would be like Alien's old dna, since the last ones, thay have been total disappointments. I hope to try it soon because in Chile , takes almost years for new releases to arrive 😢
The only designer fragrances I buy are Givenchy Gentleman Original, flankers are horrendious, Chanel Antaeus, Dior Homme Intense Original and some beautiful Hermes fragrances (altho I don count them as designer per se) Zadig have beautiful blends just not long lasting sadly. I just prefer perfume houses like Guerlain, Caron,Jacques Fath,.... and other nieche fragrance houses.
Completley unrelated question to this video, but I got just recieved another 13 by le labo, as I'm really into skin scent musky fragrances. For the life of me, I can NOT figure out what that sharp spicy kinda note is. I sampled this before buying the whole bottle and didnt get the spicy scent. What is it? Did I overspay? No problems with projection or longevity though.
