NEW Freeform Features Make iPad EXTRA Worth It! (+ Tips & Hacks) 

The missing part of Freeform is the integration with other native Apple’s apps. It could be nice to have a full integration with Numbers for example.

In the first couple mins i learned that you can swipe on the drawing tools in the bar to access other writing tools. Thank you for that

Another great video, Chris thanks. One piece of functionality that I would like to see in the future is the ability to click on one of the linking arrows and write something so I could do something like box a helps produce box B. This would make developing concept, maps or system dynamic diagrams, maps much more easy.

Hi, Chris. Did you notice that the eraser keep going back to its default setting? I changed the eraser to be an object eraser, but it keeps going back to "pixel eraser" after several minutes. So annoying.

does freeform has options to line text with arrows, so each time you change elements with attached arrows, you don't need to replace all text after it?

I find it annoying, that you can not save default settings for sizes on post-its, text inside them etc. copying style is still more steps than having a default. Also i find that the pencil/drawing settings reset when Freeform has been closed/restarted. Also it would be great to have more text options, like choosing title, header etc. as in pages for "writing writing" Looking forward to try the new smart arrow change

Paperlike... great while it works, which in my experience is a few weeks of moderate use. Then it just feels like the regular screen again - so that's a lot of money for something that lasts not very long at all IMO. Anyway, thanks for the video - I was wondering what Freeform is about and now I know! I will get to work using it for research and learning new topics :)

If I create a toggle switch which consists of a rectangle a square and perhaps on/off text… it would be nice to be able to save it as a template shape which can be reused and editing it will reflect on all already added ones on the canvas

freeform does everything, but I think it lacks folder. If freeform has a folder we could organise every concept that we make in freeform. In my case as a student I have many subject and when I study simultaneously I had difficulty finding the subject I want to study since there are no folders that would indicate a particular subject which freeform lacks.

Finally made the snap shapes! Still kinda annoyed that you can’t write on Post-its but I group them after.

Man i wanna love freeform so bad but its so crazy buggy i just cant rely on it. It doesnt sync my boards correctly, still :( i tried sending a whole treatment to a client using free form and it came in on there end as a jumbled mess, it kinda made me look bad lol ill stick to milanote and others until they get it sorted

Why I cannot export a freeform document as pdf just clicking the share button within the form. To do this, I need to go to to all board then choose the form that I want to export as pdf and click the share button. Not user friendly at all.

The only thing stopping me from going iPad only is the need for Chrome browser with extensions. Any ideas if there is a solution to this?

My Freeform boards are full of little drawings and just me playing with it, but it definitely works best on iPad.

Can anybody tell me why my boards get so zoomed out (for lack of a better term)? I have to put my font in text elements to 144 just to read it. And the magnification to see the whole board is about 17% - and I only have three or four elements on the board.

I like freeform but keeping 100% it's not anywhere as good as Miro. Miro is still better in every way. It does everything you just mention for the past few years and much more. Would love to see a comparison. ❤❤❤
