You did a good job, it looks good on the first headband that you were trying to put on you had it right all you had to do is slip it over your head the two pieces was supposed to come together as one you did an awesome job

Fasten the velcro strap before you put the wig on. Then just put it on your head just like a wig without a headband.

Can you crochet your hair with the head band wig cap on your head?

I haven't tried that but I think it's easier to make it on a mannequin since the wig cap has velcro and it might get in the way. Also if you want to remove the headband crochet wig cap. I hope this info helps. Thanx for watching!

Thank you so much, I greatly appreciate the sub! For a butterfly loc wig I would suggest using a regular crochet cap, normally when making a faux loc wig a closure or frontal can be used.
