Ace so far is my favorite release of the year, but this song coupled with Oreo's solo OST for anime are a nice break from the craziness, when you want some easy listening 🙂 But even in a tame song like this (for their standards), they manage to sprinkle some sweet drum fills, piano bits or guitar phrases, so it's definitely an enjoyable listening.
Beautiful song. I really like it when they also so songs without rapping / spoken lyrics because I like all their singing voices so much. BTW I recommend the new girl band NEK! who have just released their second MV, called Reigen Shoujo (at least I'm pretty sure that's the correct transcription), but their previous release Get Over is great as well. They also have released an EP called Exclamation. If you would like something heavier, there is also a great new EP by the metal band Gungire with the amazing singer NANA who does harsh and clean vocals. For example, Nothing In My Hands is a great song from that EP.

After Ace it had to be a more restrained song. It very much has the sound of Lonely Mart or Voice, and wouldn't be out of place on W, which is a huge compliment. But I do have the slight feeling that I've heard it before, which I don't think I've ever had before from the first listen to a Gacharic Spin song.
Yes, that's exactly it. It's similar to the two tracks on W that are the least for me, not because they are bad (far from it), but just because they it's a bit softer and slower, which is fine. I agree that the track wouldn't have been out of place on W.
@@MaartenT Well we know that GS wouldn't do a full album that sounds like this, and their diversity is what I love the most. Ace is cool, but I don't think it would work to stretch out that style into a full album, or if it did I think it would become too much? For me, much like I really enjoy Unlucky Morpheus, I can't actually listen to more than a few songs in a row because its so full on!...
@@homegnome2429 Sure, I can see that. And honestly while I don't mind as someone who listened to a bunch of black metal albums in a row for years and years (granted, most of them are 30 to 40 minutes in total), I completely understand where you are coming from (my evening/night music is generally pretty mellow and chilled out) and I also don't dislike both Lonely Mart nor Voice (and Halfway, To the Beyond). I think they worked well on the W album, because yes, the Ace EP was a bit too much for me the first couple of listens (it's not any more). It also fits in nicely with them having a couple of slower tracks on most of their albums, which is perfectly fine with me. I really don't have a lot of complaints about W to be honest and it was my favourite album that year. Those tracks might not be my favourite, but I wouldn't skip them either.
Congrats on being first to react - you're a true Gacha fan now 😉😉 This is certainly less experimental than Ace, I agree it could fit on W but actually the style for me is more reminiscent of Oreo songs from Music Battler - and whilst I love the diversity and progressive aspects of a lot of the more recent stuff, I think above all I love them for their melodies, so this is a great one for me, and it definitely has repeat listen value. What I also really enjoy is that even in their "simpler" songs, there's still great instrumental and vocal layers and interesting musical touches throughout Not been officially confirmed but it seems likely that Oreo is the lead writer on this one also. I hope we'll get news this Saturday of a new album to go with their 15th anniversary in October 🤞🤞🤞🤞
You are quick with your reaction. Overall not as much for me as their previous ones since it's a bit on the softer side, but I am sure this will grow on me and it's not like I don't understand the appeal. On the contrary, I can't understand why Asterism chose the track that is by far the worst (imo) on their EP to create an MV for (I can not stand the production on the vocals on that one), but that's an other story.
For once, I'm going to disagree with you about vocal production. Normally I hate heavy production and prefer a raw sound, but when it's done with artistic purpose and it's there for a minority of the song (partly because a lot of the song is instrumental), I'm okay with it. Admittedly I did have a negative reaction at first, but it works for me now, and The Titan is now a contender for my favourite on the EP.
@@kicorse Sorry to Benedikt, this is pretty offtopic and I don't know if you have already heard The Titan but if you haven't this might spoil some things (and it includes some of my complaining), so it's probably better to stay away. It's not going to help that I have had some meh things happening the last couple of days so here we go. I agree that it's done with an artistic purpose, but I absolutely can not stand it so much that I am not even going to properly watch their EP. I quickly clicked through the track to see if it was indeed that track I was thinking of since I only listened to the EP once, but I remember specifically checking for the title during my listen because I really didn't feel it. I am ok with the first vocals (my guess is Miyu's), but the ones after (Haruka's?) with the fake guitar effect on top of it just make me cringe personally, a bit like the spoken word on top of some of the tracks on Ignition which kills those tracks on the album for me. Also, no The Titan isn't an instrumental imo it is loaded with vocals (a lot of them are in the background though). The vocals during the guitar line are probably my least favourite vocals of everything they have done minus maybe one or two tracks on Decide. But Again, this is very offtopic and obviously very subjective. Also, I quickly checked through the comments and a lot of people seemed to be like it (which is great), so there is that and had to force myself not to go into discussion under their official video which I swore not to do anymore. It probably just means that they are indeed going away from the sound I like and that's ok. I do like the physical artbook, the EP itself is pretty good overall but not amazing, but I do need more listens for sure. I would still put it behind most of their output overall except for aside/beside/decide, it might go over Ignition after a bunch of listens though, it certainly isn't enjoyable for me not counting that part in The Titan.
