I’m very much looking forward to this one. and let’s face it, for a pretty long time Japan is the only active participant. It’s like playing on the eastern front, there’s a challenge as theSoviets, but you’re just trying to run away as slowly as possible. it’s always fun to run riot for the better part of a year
It is hard to watch you play when you don't understand game mechanics very well. The carrier for example to attack the US heavy cruiser you need to switch from fighters to bombers. Then you would of had good results. Tactics wise you seem again to not understand game mechanics well.
Turns they ran into difficulties with some of the in-game flags and had to change them to meet Steam's requirements. Although an easy fix the delay put them int the Summer Sale so they are waiting until after to launch.
The map and layout of units seemed very familiar so I went and started SC World at War. Turns out they are using the exact same map down to the hex but cut in half. Hell even the positions of the units and the units that Japanese start with are the same. How is this a new game ? At best it can be considered a scenario or DLC for World at War.
I suppose if you're starting in a historical setting then unit locations are always going to be same. I did quicky fire up WaW and they have updated the map in WiTP and changed the scale. That being said, I'm not here to justify price tags when I have the luxury of playing for free.
