The Lindbergh motherboard BIOS is a custom variant of PhoenixBIOS, Gotta remember to repaste the cards before installing them, otherwise they'll bake themselves to death!. Some Nvidia cards where just defective from The factory though
I made sure to apply fresh thermal paste and a new fan on the updated video card so it can last a long time. Good thing we are leaving summer so temps inside the arcade have gone down
I've never played TvC but I'm a CvS fan. At least the operators get to have that real hardware and exclusivity. Surely the IDE drive isn't proprietary? or would an IDE to SATA adapter work? Yikes on the ghost squad, sounds like you're already on top of things when it comes to cooling it down. Having a KOF game is a pretty worthy replacement than just having the machine completely down whilst you fix it. Sorry for the wall of text, if nothing else I hope I boost the algorithm 🤘
Not sure about the ide to sata adapter. System 246/256 is already very picky on the drive firmware but I purchased a new old stock Namco drive for $40 so hopefully it lasts 10+ years lol I do my best to not have games down, 1 month so far of all the games working thanks for the comment! hopefully the channel spikes one day
@@Arcade_Replay Understandable bud, I commend you putting the love and effort into keeping these games alive. Plenty operators cut corners and have no passion so big props to ya
We're Ghost Squads notorious for overheating components? If your arcade cab is having overheating issues, then I would imagine this would be a wide spread issue for all of them. Or are the cards failing due to the age of the components?
I would say it’s a mix of both. These Lindbergh games are basically PCs in a different case trapped inside a wooden box with no intake fan only an exhaust. Add that to the age of the old 7600gs nvidia card and it’s just going to fail eventually.
