2:13 Sinple explanation: Everything in the level is on either layers above or below the player. The shader trigger has the ability to only make certain layers get affected by shaders. This results in only the objects being affectes by the shader and not the player because the player layer (between b1 and t1) isn't selected.
2:13 you put a shaders trigger, set it to one of the bg layers, and select all the blocks, spikes, and orbs, then put them in a bg layer you set the shaders trigger. after that, put a spilet screen trigger and set the x and y to 1. there you have it, a split screen background. i also found this out before i saw this, so i actually know how this works

2:15 shader bg-b1 green, the fake cube is copying the movements of the real cube by using 1 or 2 triggers, (use follow player y for accuracy) then, set the fake cube to below b1 and set every object to the same as the fake cube but above the cube layer, (b5 is the best option for the fake cube and b3 is the best for objects) and finally use the split screen shader (but for this, the guy also added a gravity trigger) hope this helps :)
Put one where it is the tidal wave logo that is in the level, but it says, “Hello Everyone, this is your Daily Dose of Geometry Dash.” It might take a while to decorate but I think it would be very cool.
