I just ordered mine last night. They are 20 percent off until Dec 4th and 25 percent off the add ons, hip pockets etc. I ordered mine for doing the Colorado Trial with my dog next summer. I generally use an Arc Blast, I hike mostly in Vermont and the Whites. I am not sure where you are used to hiking but the Whites are great as is the Long Trial in Vermont. Upstate NY is also very good. Enjoy
@@SpiguyverBackpacking1 Nice, it’s funny for decades I pretty much only backpacked in the Whites. The last two years I have hiked the Long Trial in Vermont and loved it. A lot less people. The Northern section is very rugged and the first 100 miles or so are a little more gentle. You can’t go wrong in the Whites. I would highly suggest the Pemi Loop. It’s a great three day trip with lots of views and peak bagging. I did order that new Waymark pack. It was 20 percent off. Take care
I did a portion of the Long Trail probably 15 years ago. The Pemi Loop was on the calendar earlier this year, but the guy I was going with had to cancel.
Great overview. Question -how well does this pack compress when you don't have it stuffed full? I want to get the large EMBR 60L size for winter trips, but I also want to be able to use it for warmer weather trips when I won't need as much gear. Do you think I could get by with one? Or should i buy the 50L and just strap things to the outside if needed for winter trips?
Yeah, NJ probably isn't high on most people's lists to move to. However, after many months being unemployed, the right opportunity arose and it happened to be in NJ. What I meant by normal winters is that it's a location/region that actually gets a real winter, with snow and stuff!
@@SpiguyverBackpacking1 Well we dont actually have normal winters any more. We used to. Now they are weird. Sometimes its 60, sometimes its cold and windy, sometimes we get snow. Mostly cold windy rains. NJ actually has some nice hiking and mountain biking trails. Some nice waterfalls too. Let me know if you ever want a guided tour :)
