Yeah man, that recall demon, I'm with you 1000% , I've sold so much hardware. I went with one of the Cranborne 500 adat series rack. I love the Wes audio stuff, seriously looking at adding an NG Bus comp this year. Take care.
I'm so glad you did this video because there is not really any WesAudio Calypso users that reviewed or did any tutorial videos on RU-vid. Even though it's straight forward when connecting to systems, no one was talking about this unit in any way. We got our unit a few months ago and it's pretty cool so far! Thanks again.
You are a nice guy, sharing your knowledge. But i wonder, where is your Vertigo, your Shelford and your "to the moon" ? I loved your session showing them all in the past!
… one more BIG QUESTION/FAVOUR: Can you do a comparison between WESAUDIO‘s BusComp & TEGELER AUDIO‘s Schwerkraftmaschine? For some1 like me (and I think a lot of others) who is up for a plugin-controllable analog compressor that would be AWESOME since these 2 seems to be IT - but a kinda like shoot-out?! You’re one of the rare people that seems to have both gears… Cheers 😎🎶✌️
Love the setup! I'm sure you have seen the Dutch audio mastering consoles that have digital control also. Also check out the cranborne Audio HE2 it's also digitally controlled
I was wondering why you chose to put the desk on the shorter side of your room? Btw you can rack the rme , there are rack holders for it and i think rme makes them
Hi, love your videos! With the Calypso - ist it possible to run multiple Wes Modules with only one XLR-Pair (left and right) into the interface, correct? Is it also possible to run the plugins/modules in every wishable order or is it a fixed order how they will come into the master-chain? Hope it does makes sense what I am asking? Thanks in advance!
Are you still happy with your Ferrofish Pulse 16? I am thinking about buying the Ferrofish A32 pro (the one with the black face). Do you have any advise?
Do you miss Massive Passive? How does it compare to the Wes Audio? I have a Massive Passive but with some paired Telefunken tubes it does make a huge difference.
Dude you are over doing it. I get it... I hate cables, everyone does, but we want amazing sounding gear. Dude how did you get that WesAudio TubeEq so fast?
What’s wrong with trying to have a clean, simple setup? I just don’t feel confortable with a setup that’s complex. I am in Europe and I have a great relation with Wesaudio, so when they’ve announced it I got on the list to get one as soon as it comes out of production.
There are definitely very good reasons for having a clean set up. A cluttered room can lead to a cluttered mind. I’m only mixing and only use a few hardware pieces, but still have a cable jungle under my desk. It’s well enough hidden so I don’t need to think about it so much and as far as using everything in the studio, I like a very organised approach that I can easily get the sound and style signature I’m going for without too much thinking. That also makes recalls and remixes easier.
Superb... Iam from India. I watched your studio one stock plugins mastering video. Very nice and suberb ❤❤❤ If you have time, Then make a studio one mixing video with stock plugins 🌱🌿🌴🐈🐈🐈🐈🐈🐈🐈🧿
For the moment I have removed the Ferrofish from the setup since I don’t need the extra I/O. I am trying out the ADI-2 Pro as the mastering AD/DA and that’s why I am not capturing the masters with the AD+
Good luck with the gear and channel changes, but I do hope you keep a RU-vid presence also. I’ll be interested in how you feel the AD+ compares to the ADI 2 for your main AD converter.
@@2probeats My studio has a lot of gear you've been using the last few years. I really enjoy your content and knowledge. Please update us on the quality of the AD/DA in comparison to the AD+ setup. Thx for all the gems.
