OMG I have 2 of those bowls I use them for salads, fruit salads, pasta only when family and friends come. Im thinking my grandma gave me mine No idea it was that old. I just use when hosting.

Regarding the bowl: DO NOT use it for a mixing or baking bowl. It’s not made for that and will probably crack - it’s more like a decorative bowl. Assuming you want it and you want to use it, I’d recommend light use, like holding candy or as a salad bowl. If you DON’T want it, don’t feel guilty about returning it to your mom or passing it on if she doesn’t want it either.

Hi Rachel the bowl is gorgeous could you display it on a shelf or in a hutch maybe on top the cupboard. It would make a nice fruit bowl . Hope everyone is feeling better !

Regarding the bowl I have one similar and I use it for salad only just like my great aunt used it for. I asked my mom and she said for that or cheese tortellini ❤

My family loved the Valentines Cookie bars! I made them from scratch so that I only had to purchase the chocolate hearts. We don't have Valentine's M&M's here in Canada, so I always have to buy extra at Christmas and save the red ones for Valentines Day, and the green ones for St. Patrick's Day. Thanks for the great recipe Rachel!

I really like the Weimen glass top stove cleaning kit with both the cream cleanser for once a week and daily spray.

I use Weimen too. I normally have both of these cleaners on hand but ran out of that one. It’s a great product. 😊

It's a beautiful bowl! I have vintage glassware. I use it to hold fruit and vegetables. You may want to use it to hold plastic or decorative items.

Thank you! It was holding fruit but the kids were being too rough and making me nervous so now it’s hiding until I know what to do with it.

The cookie bars are super cute! The pizza dippers are fun festive treat too! Think the small cutter with pre sliced cheese and then hand cut pepperoni smaller would make 3 hearts but extra work. Always such cute ideas for your kids for whatever holiday is near ❤️❤️❤️

My mom used to keep fruit or veggies in the glass bowl. Take a picture of it in case it gets broken. You’ll soon have more memories gifts that you can not contain them all. Start a photo book of all mementos. Label for your children so they know who gave and what used for. Try to date the mementos. Hope this helps.

Hi Rach! What a beautiful bowl, I probably would use it for serving food for company. Grilled cheese & tomato soup sounds good right about now and the cookie dessert looked so cute ♥️ Every time I do a Target run, I grab a bag of the Dove Valentine's chocolate hearts, I gotta stop! 😂

The pan cookies look good I will remember that for Easter. What a beautiful bowl I have a candy dish and a cake plate for the 30’s it was my grandmother’s I have them on display. Mako does not eat the cats food!!!! Mako,vthe vacuum attacker, is absolutely innocent!!! And so is Hunter!!! A couple of neighbors dogs are eating the xats food and drinking their water. Your dogs are good boys!!!

That’s where I currently have it. Not sure how much longer though because my kids are rough throwing apples and sliding the bowl around the counter. 🤦🏼‍♀️

I would use that beautiful bowl as a fruit bowl! Delicate enough to hold fruit nothing serious and it can sit out on your counter always 🍎 🍌

PLEASE do not use the bowl for baking or in a microwave. It is a serving bowl (salads). I'm 70 and the last girl born in the family! I've inherited 3 generations (into 1800s!) of tableware. Thankfully, I now have a granddaughter. She has my permission to sell what she doesn't want so someone else can enjoy such items. Spread the joy and Love!
