@@pinksparkle258 I literally have never had a curl stay longer than maybe an hour, an hour and a half if I’m totally honest. Then bam, flat straight and unkempt looking, if that makes sense. These curls are STILL in. I’m shocked! I know what you mean. It’s been a long haul, these past few years. Collectively, as humanity, we’ve all been through the proverbial ringer.

I honestly am a dunce when it comes to hair. That was not me being modest. And I cannot get curls to stay and they make my hair look unkempt, if that makes sense. These are very tight curls and therefore a different look. I really would love to get beach waves but I just cannot do it and, if I do it, it lasts for a half hour. This really really works and was so easy. But they are very tight curls and my family was horrified.

My situation is worse because I am starting with a mess to begin with. I honestly appreciate the tightness and I am just thinking that may make the difference between staying and falling flat. I am intrigued and really want to try this. My hair is about your length, and I can see how wrapping strands on a long wand is really easy. Oh, and if you are a dunce, I am your apprentice. I absolutely love your hair like this!!! It's so fresh, stylish and pleasantly different 💕💕 I keep telling myself when I use the tools I already have, then I can get more! It's a whole argument in my head; if I had THIS tool THEN I'd curl my hair, but I have a tool that could do this and I just don't, it's on going... But I do want this tool! I think my real issue is putting products in my clean hair (a lot of very straight, medium fine), curling irons have never kept a curl for me, my hair stylist says I need products to hold the curls. Well I'm like you Rebecca, I want 5 days of clean hair!! So about day 2 or 3 I should curl my hair, but don't?! I love the feel of clean hair! I also keep thinking I want one of those irons that rotate automatically... I'm so lazy with my hair & spoiled with having to do very little compared to others. Ok so I want to comment about family.... They're the WORST when it comes to change!! They don't want Moms to ever change in any way whatsoever?! I remember when I picked up some light pastel camo PJs and my son was like "that's not you", are you kidding I'm just sleeping in them?! I know women who literally don't wear makeup because of their family... I have news, most men just don't want to wait the extra time it takes to do your makeup or get dressed up! We need these type of things to feel good about ourselves and keep growing, it has nothing to do with anyone else!!! I beg women not to be influenced or you'll become resentful over time. What asensational comment from you, as usual, Cindy. You are so right about family. What surprised me so much about my hair this time is that a good friend and then my mother didn’t like it either. People don’t like change. They feel threatened by it. I was very surprised since I am always wearing something outrageous or trying some weird mask or wearing something funny but, for some reason, this really threatened them and I think threatened is the correct word. But do not worry, I do not listen to what they say, thankfully! Or, you’re right, I wouldn’t wear makeup. With kids too it’s such a funny thing. My oldest daughter once told me that she listened to a lady in Sephora because that lady is an influencer and has a following and I kind of just giggled to myself. No man is a hero to his butler, as the expression goes. Regarding clean hair, I am exactly the same way. I will not mess with it with any sort of a curling iron unless it is the day before I wash it. Usually the curls fall out and look messy and, with this new device, it stays in for days. And I don’t know that I want that look all day every day. So one day is kind of enough for me, if that makes sense. When my hair is clean and straight I like it that way, too. You are not alone.
I wonder if you brushed the curls out before applying the hair spray would avoid the frizz? I love this, looks so easy to use. I love the curls on you ❤️
Omg I love you with curly hair ! It looks amazing 🤩 I have naturally curly hair but this makes it look so natural. I would just take the curls with a wide comb or your fingers instead of a brush which you saw made frizz.
Can you tell I’m not used to having curly hair? So I have no combs! Literally. And these were too tight to comb with my fingers which is what I normally do when I do beachy waves that then last for only a half hour! Ha ha. So I’m gonna need to Amazon today! I actually like this product for people with curly hair if you ever get those few straight ones like my daughter does. that’s so weird. It happens to her in dryer weather.
@@NotFitforPrintBeauty If I get a weird curl I just re-wet that one curled clump and wrap it around my finger and it comes back to life usually without even adding more gel bc it re activates with water. I love curly hair on you. I think it suits you.
OMg!!! I love your hair!!!! GHD has great products! I use their flat iron and their Rise brush. I always tell folks if they don’t want to spend the money on Dyson, GHD is the next best thing AND not damaging to hair. You’re right, curly hair is a full-time job🤣🤣🤣 I noticed you angled the barrel in different directions on each side. On your left, the barrel was pointed down and on the right, the barrel pointed up. Not sure if that was intentional to create different curls to show us, so do you have a preferred result. I have tried these type of wands without very good results but this is promising. I think the curly hair gives you an even more youthful look.
Hello Tracie!!!! Thank you so so much! I totally agree with you about GHD versus Dyson. In many cases, I prefer GHD! Yes, exactly, I angled the barrel of the iron in many different directions just to show how easy it was, how quick, and how I got results in every direction. Because these curls are so tight, in a way it’s easier than a beach wave. The beach wave almost looks easier than it actually is to achieve the right angle of the curls with this, you just kind of curl and go.
Love,love,love the curls! You have an enviable amount of hair! I’m not a hair genius, but found that brushing out my curls with a wide tooth comb works better than a brush…less frizz. I’m on a low buy for makeup, not tools, so I will probably use your link to pick this up. 😊
You will laugh when I tell you that I do not own a wide tooth comb. I need to go on Amazon today. In the past, when I have done any sort of curls they have been gentle beach waves. So I always just use my fingers. And I guess I didn’t know what to expect when I started this project.

Thank you so much for your kind comment, Katherine! I need to give my Dyson air wrap another chance. I use it all the time but I use either the round or flat brush attachment. I have not had tremendous luck with the curling function but now I’m starting to get my confidence back for curls!
@@NotFitforPrintBeauty a lot of people find it tricky and that it doesn’t hold the curl. Not sure why, but I’ve had great luck, found it easy to use and it lasts into the next day (definitely more relaxed though). I have very thick, long hair too but mine holds a curl quite well. I definitely use the other attachments more though.
I love your hair this way!!! I can’t believe that you didn’t need to use the glove. I always manage to get a burn if I don’t. I currently have the T3 wand, but I’m liking the thinness of this one. Great video.

Thank you so much Danielle! OK the Dyson air wrap is my every day staple. It is the only thing I use daily to style my hair. I use either the round brush attachment or the thicker hair flat brush attachment. I do not use the actual air wraps because it takes forever on my hair, like over an hour, and the curls fall right out after about 30 minutes. This new GHD, the curls are still in after 24 hours but they are tight. The Dyson gives definite beachy waves whereas this is definite springy curls. I could have made them looser but not that much looser so it is an entirely different look, if that makes sense.

@@DanielleNicoleMakeup this one goes to 365° heat which, they say, is optimal styling heat without overheating the hair or not achieving curls. But they are definitely very tight curls. I kind of wonder if that is going to take over the beachy waves?? Or if they will all be in at the same time. I need to try the air wrap portion of my Dyson again because I would really love to get down that beachy look that I have had no success with. Maybe this will make me feel successful enough to try the Dyson again! I’m gonna start getting different levels of curls in every video ha ha.
@@NotFitforPrintBeauty well they look great. I don't think the Bed Head beach waves will ever go outta style as they are that perfect balance of curls and waves. But I love using the Dyson. My secret: I dry my hair with the round brush first to get volume (focusing on the roots), then I go in and curl it. I keep a water bottle where I can spritz the ends of each strand. I also use dry wax and mouse and that is absolutely necessary imo bc you aren't getting the heat you normally get with the others 🥰

I think your hair looks cute... It gives me hope because like you, I have a ton of hair w a slight wave that is stubborn and won't hold a curl... It makes me have a love hate relationship w my dyson air wrap because my hair will look amazing maybe an hour and then it's as if I never bothered to curl it! To me, a lions mane is a compliment... I always tell my stylist to make me look like simba from lion king!
Yay, Dana! Simba will be our mascot! OK, wait for sale of course, but I think you might need to try this one. Do you know it has been over 24 hours and the curls have not moved! I used the Dyson air wrap twice. Both times it took me well over an hour to do. And in less than that time the curls were gone and, on top of that, my hair looked unkempt and messy. With this new GHD curler. Yes, the curls are very tight, that I will admit, so it is a different look. But the darn things are not budging. I cannot believe it.
@@NotFitforPrintBeauty the only reason the Airwrap lives at my home rather than being returned is because I spent only $54.11 using Ulta points and I like that I can get big bouncy curls for a hot minute. I am intrigued about the Ghd wand. I bought a T3 1.25 inch barrel curling iron and curls from that last longer than Dyson….key is using a working hair spray!

That’s the thing with me, too, Rachel. I do not have time. I do not have patience. That is why I left this for the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday where we all had the day off here in the US. And, on top of that, curls don’t last on me so I never try it. The whole thing of being able to curl with a straightener is honestly witchcraft I can never ever ever do it. The odd times that I’m successful with it it just falls right out after a minute. I’m useless.

I am 54 seconds into the video and HAD to pause to comment. I LOVE the curls. I have tried curling my hair 957 times over my lifetime and my hair does NOT keep a curl no matter what. Sure, if I drench it with hairspray, it does, but it becomes disgusting. Crunchy hay. Fit to feed a horsey. I adore horses, but I don’t them to want to eat me!!!! I will comment again when I finish watching. 😃💝

I like the new Curtis want you need to wear a glove with it or you could burn your hair very although I’ve done that on my tips of my fingers my Curtis stay in that long Very fussy Hair
