Super cool quote! In scientific literature, our personalities have been consistently shown to become more stable and pronounced as we age. Our identities and roles tend to solidify, we settle down to a more consistent, self-chosen life and find our 'niche' in the world, which brings 'us' out even more. We do, literally, age into our personalities!
U are loved by God And he cares about u so much and wants u to turn to him today so that he can make miracles and Blessings happen? God loves u and the world so much that He sent his only son Jesus Christ to Die on the cross so that we could Have a relationship with him and not have to sacrifice anything and we can inherit Heaven and be forgiven for our sins and repent those sins? God has a plan for u and wants it to happen turn to him and he’ll change ur life in a better way than u could ever imagine He’s helped me with many things and will do the same to u Just turn to Him and he will give u rest and will protect u Because he wants to save u and give you his kingdom of Heaven because He loves and cares about u and died for u so that u wouldn’t have to go to Hell. God bless you and have a good Day❤️✝️🙏Accept Jesus as your lord and savior and be saved repent ur sins But it’s ur choice to make but Jesus is coming soon but it’s all ur choice to make God bless
@Mari Christofidou @ Alexandra Schroeder responded to the "jew in the desert" joke best: "reference biblical story where jews/Israelites had to wander in the desert for 40 years to find the promised land after making God mad" And for the credit score joke, idk how it works in other countries, but credit scores in the US are basically what help you get along in life. You need a good credit score to take out loans, get an apartment, apply for a credit card, etc. A credit score of 230 (which Nick has) is INSANELY low. How anyone at Nick's age has a score that low is arguably laughable, hence the "homeless ghost" joke. Cos it's kinda true.
@Mari Christofidou you get a credit score higher than his by just being alive, just saying basic bills sometimes, even a homeless ghost would probably have a better credit score than him
And it weirdly sets up Schmidt's character perfectly: sometimes ignorantly confident, but not racist at all. He just loves her and doesn't actually care (or know) what her ethnicity is. That's what makes New Girl jokes great. They're not just for humor to pass the time; they actually inform the character's personalities. Too many sitcoms just write jokes and put in them in whatever character's mouth currently needs a line. That's how you get a very bland show.
So true. And then having Coach back occasionally was a great addition too. They played towards and against stereotype with the two black characters, which made it really fun. They brushed against race in a thoughtful and funny way without going full-on activist. I love how this show handled that.
I couldn't stop laughing reading your comment..that was a burpee😂 I was like, what is he doing hahaha (watch the series a few years ago, so forgot about this moment)
Nick screams: "YOU GET ONE WIFE! THIS IS THE WAY THE WORLD WORKS!" Schmidt screams: "WHYYYY!?" Nick, throws his hands up, shrugging, and softly says: "I don't know." You cut out the best part of that scene! lol.
@@joemedley195 I’m Italian, I literally live in Rome…you just made me realize how I got that bit the first time and also cringed a bit while laughing 😆
Whoever wrote the dialogue for this show is a genius. One of my favorites is when Nick and Winston are at a doctors office, and a couple old guys nearby are having a conversation. Nick says “did you hear that?” Winston replies “yes. I’m closer to them than you are”. Gets me every time
I also love calling Winston "you bird shirted puzzle baby" and Schmidt "you raven haired dandy boy" and Jess, who "looks like a drawing of a best friend that an eight-year-old would make"
I love how so much of the show was improv. In so many scenes you can tell the actors are holding back laughter or you can see the surprise in their face and how they just follow along with the joke.
Love how instead of a realistic scenario where he trips over something, he just randomly drops to the ground like a dead fish and then Nick procedes to roughly drag him up by the arm.
This comment made me read his whole wiki and there are multiple things in that that blew my mind. His first name is Mark. Jake is his middle name. He’s also the entire inspiration for Drunk History. Wild.
@@willbyers_clizzy the quote from Wikipedia- “The web series Drunk History was inspired by a 2007 conversation that [Jake] Johnson had with series creator Derek Waters. Johnson, while drunk, was trying to describe the story of Otis Redding's death to Waters, and Waters was inspired to build a series around history narrated by drunk people.”
It’s so funny. One of my favourite and most quotes lines. But it’s so much funnier IN context ‘…I’ve been doing my burpees and it shows’ does the world’s slowest, saddest burpee…joints cracking, sits down, plays with the carpet for a split second. Comedy gold.
I just want a "Nick and Schmidt being kinda gay" compilation. Clearly they have a great and healthy friendship that's only platonic affection but there's a lot of kinda gay stuff there, too.
I looked on ao3 like a few months ago cuz id been watching some new girl and i was like well obviously there'll be a lot of nick/schmidt fics, no there's like 300 at best! And a good chunk of those are like the whole group or a threesome romantically/sexually. I was really surprised
@@badbitch898 very fair but that doesnt normally stop people lol. just like, i feel like ive seen more fics for ships with less support to them. i think it's more about the fact that it's a cable channel mainstream tv show and so not quite the audience that typically makes fanfics
@@ohmyprettygirl that’s like when jess told the guy she was dating that nick was gay and he thought he “hired an actual gay man” to be his boyfriend and she was like “schmidt? he’s not gay” and he goes “WHEN WILL THE LIES STOP”
Not to get sappy but the chicken dance scene is like the perfect depiction of their relationship. Cause as the lyrics say they got a groovy kind of love while they're doing this stupid, dorky slow version of the chicken dance and absolutely loving it and each other without caring about anything else it's *chefs kiss*
Man, my family and I went through such a hard time this year. New Girl made us laugh so much - and we really needed it. Thanks for all the laughs and the smiles!
This was the BEST comedy show on TV. I miss it so much. I’m just grateful that I can rewatch the series whenever I want on Netflix, so they better not ever take it off of there. 😭🥺👏
The “Gimme it” “No…?” dialogue sends me howling every time. The lines aren’t even that funny, but the way the sea center employee says “no” is so well done. The delivery on those lines is just gold!
That scene in 4:16 looks like Max Greenfield legit got scared at the mime especially after he laughed and remembered he was supposed to be acting like Schmidt. lol
I have a playlist of sad music called "this is the saddest song in the world." 😂 I wish I could add their freestyle rap to it, it would make the playlist complete.
Just the other day you were romantic to me!! ABSOLUTELY LOVE this line/scene. Sums up their rel so perfectly. And I love that he/writers are using the Anne of green gables definition of “romantic”
This show means so much to me. Seriously, more than any other show I've ever seen. It's the one I would choose out of any to watch for the first time if I could.
