@@Abdulrahman_20j The way it changes from the opening to the dry down is very interesting and the dry down is definitely a nice one. I wish it would have been amped up a bit more though 😊 Thanks for sharing!
I tried it when I was in Milan, and it blew my mind! The white flowers and vanilla are what I came to my mind. It’s so soft, elegant and sensual… already ordered 100 ml ❤
I tried this fragrance in a shop before listening to your review and I find your impressions coincide with my own. I have not acquired it despite my liking it - perhaps I will in future. The two of you make a great team together.
First, I tried when it was released, and then I kept on coming back, reaching to it in the perfume section. Then I bought the 100ml one. This has been my go-to perfume. I love it so much.
When it dry it becomes so good! Really thinking about this for my everyday fragrance for work and then getting the Reserve Privee for going out. All Givenchy are pretty damn good
I really like it, but I’m not as big of a fan as my wife is. She legit jumped up after smelling it and said, “Finally, no Iris.. no unending sweetness and makeup.” 😂I was shocked by how much she likes it. It’s a great scent and is a wonderful break from the Iris and powdery over the top scents, which I also love. It’s a good buy and even gets better when it warms up a bit. Stunning job.
I’m a huge fan of this release, was the second 2023 release that I purchased. When I went to the Dillard’s to buy it, the sales lady sprayed way too much on the strip and I couldn’t smell anything but alcohol. So I decided to just buy it due to the thrill I get from blind buying. I’m not a huge fan of the opening, I pick up on the narcissus and I’m not a huge fan of it. But the cardamom and slight iris I do pick up helps raise it higher. But the dry down I love, the woodsy, vanillic dry down with a nice dose of vetiver. I love it, top 5 releases of the year for sure. I just like CH Men Paśion more, but certainly worth a purchase. Appreciate the videos though man, super helpful, keep up the good work man, your channel is awesome. 👍👍
Thank you!! Appreciate it a lot! 😊 I think it's really nice and I enjoy that it's different compared to the rest in the line. Very easy to wear scent that's classy and elegant 👌 I have not tried the CH men you mention 😊
@@rottenrebels OHHH BUDDY! Prepare your nose for awesomeness, strong iris and woods that just work perfectly. Not like DHI, but unique in its own way. I’ve only been able to find it at Dillard’s, and because it’s a CH Men I do not expect to be around for too long. If you have a Dillard’s near you, I would suggest you get your nose on it before it disappears all of a sudden.
@@rottenrebels personally I think Society is a solid 8/10 just because those woods and vetiver blend so smoothly with that vanilla. But Paśion, I think I’d give it a solid 9/10, but only because I love iris. I know it will vary from person to person, but it’s a beautiful fragrance.
I've been using Society for a month now, the smell is really good, but I think it would be better if it was not created as a continuation of the Gentelmen line, but as a separate fragrance, maybe then it would be evaluated differently. For me it's a great smell for everyday, office and also for a night out pleasant and not tiring personally I recommend.Greetings from Poland.
@@rottenrebels Yes, I mean that on many perfume forums it is rated as a continuation of the Gentelmen line, and frankly comes off as the weakest, which does not mean that the smell is bad, but comparing it with Reserve Privee, it comes off poorly, and the whole line is bound by iris, which is not here, although the opening pretends to be.In my opinion, the opening of Society is brilliant and then it gets a little weaker.
@@krzysztofkmiec1424 would U say society is bottle worthy? And is it a spring summer fragrance or no? If u can whats your thoughts on it? Appreciate it
@@garywashington6757 Hello, for me it is a year-round fragrance, but it works best in winter, autumn and spring, although in the summer for a romantic evening dinner with a woman can also handle.Fragrance is really good, this is not some discovery in the world of perfumes, but the quality of the ingredients used as well as their mixing is great.Personally, I recommend you certainly will not be disappointed and women like this fragrance, the smell itself gets compliments.Yes definitely worth buying it
the opening is amazing and reminds me of EDT intense but the dry down is totally different.. it leans to an unisex scent.. more feminine haha but it is just so so good I really like it.. top 1 in my Gentleman collection Iris is still there, even not listed.. this is powdery minty fresh sweet nutty youthful fragrance.. I am so so in love with this one somehow I smell it a little identical to Burberry Body for her haha thank you so much for ur video. which led me to buy this wonderful fragrance ❤
I've received it for Christmas. It is really something. My doubts are: do you think it would be best used in formal ocacions, casual occasions, work, or everywhere?
A really good comparison video idea would be Gentleman Society vs The Most Wanted vs JPG Le Male Le Parfum. Each approach the sweetness aspect a bit differently, but would love to hear your thoughts on them
Society has grown on me even more since this first impression. I enjoy it a lot right now. Soft vanilla with smooth woodiness and a floral touch = classy and attractive. 😊
I went out and bought it for review . I really like it better than others in the gentleman line . I hope Givenchy bases more fragrances in this one . I am glad that Givenchy did something non iris !
Thanks for sharing! It is an interesting direction that they went in with this release. Moving away from the sort of signature powderiness of the line to something that's not. I love their powdery scents but really don't care where they are going with it as long as whatever they release is good 😊
Final thoughts: opening like eros edt and dry down on skin is Phantom edt. First impressions was reminds me Jean Paul Gaultier Le Parfum but for a while
Hi! I might do a review of this soon, but initial thoughts on performance is that it's a bit above average when it comes to sillage. Longevity seems to be a bit better but this is (at least on me) not a strong scent. Quickly comparing it against the other ones I feel it might be on the same level as the EDT intense and Boisee but not on the same level as Reserve privee and the EDP. That's just my initial thoughts on my experience with the performance of it. You might get better performance on you 😊
After a couple wearing of this I really do enjoy it. Performance seems above average to me and on days where it transitions from cold mornings to warmer afternoons it really pushes on my skin
Appreciate the feedback! My initial impression of the performance is that it's sort of in line with some of the other ones in the line in that it's not super strong in any way. Nice scent though!
I was a little shocked myself once it started to warm up to about 20 to 21 degrees Celsius (70 degrees Fahrenheit) it really started to shine where I thought it had died down to a skin scent
I sampled this about a month ago and thought it was an okay fragrance. I like the opening, but the mid and dry down are just meh. In the opening, it kind of reminds me of Dior Homme Eau For Men, which was discontinued. I really like Homme Eau and I was fortunate to find a couple of backup bottles a few years ago.
Thanks for sharing! Currently I do enjoy wearing Reserve Privé more (might change in the future when I've worn Society more), but I do agree with this being lighter and easier to wear 😁
I agree man, all the way. I like Reserve Prive, especially the opening with that boozy chestnut. But the dry down smells too similar to DHI for me, and since I already own DHI I figured I wouldn’t waste my money.
I want to like this more than I actually do. I think if they increased the aromatics and halved (or even quartered) the overly sweet vanilla then it would be better for me. It might grow on me but I’ll see if the prices come down over the coming months before parting with my money!
Azzaro the most wanted or Givenchy gentleman society? Im having the hardest time deciding between the two to add to my collection. I already have a few vanilla forward scents (le male le parfum, ultra male, Eros parfum) but can’t make up my mind? Thanks in advance!
I like Givenchy gentleman society a lot, but I truly love Azzaro the most wanted. I'd go with that one, especially if you want something that's not as much focused on vanilla. 😊
This may be a little off, but I actually got similarities to Paco Rabanne Phantom (which I personally like). This one I actually thought was just ok though.
Interesting! In phantom I get that fab (it's such an underrated scent) combo of earthiness with that sweet vanilla and nothing floral at all. I feel the vanilla in Society is much softer and not as sweet and it lacks that earthiness that phantom has. Different scents but maybe some similarities in the far drydown when phantoms earthiness gets really soft 😊 Thanks for sharing!
Great video. I’ve tried this fragrance and unfortunately it’s much too sweet for me. It reminds me of a few of the Zara men’s fragrances, but the killer is the price. It’s very very expensive. Sorry.
I'm Really Curious About This Fragrance 🤔... Did They Do Something Similar With What Dior Did With Dior Homme 2020, Taking Out The Powdery Aspect?... I Love How Sandra Always Gives You Shit 🤣🤣🤣
To me this is different compared to most in the line with it's lack of powderiness and it's floral touch. So yeah, in a way they did what Dior did with DH 2020 😊 Have you tried it or?
@Rotten Rebel I Haven't Tried It Yet, But I LOVE The Gentlemen Line Sooo Much That I'll Have To Get My Nose On It... The Dior Homme 2020 Is Phenomenal To Me, I HAVE To Get Me A Bottle!!!
@@lavellecalhoun8576 Please share your thoughts on it if you end up trying it out 😊 It's definitely different compared to the rest in the line without that powderiness and with it's floral side. I love 'that' Gentleman powderiness but I do enjoy this version with out it as well
Very different. I have both. Armani Code Parfum last all day, easily and is sharp powdery goodness. Gentleman Society is smooth, flowery goodness that has good longevity but not as good as Armani Code Parfum
I bought this after twice trying it. I also think that Givenchy is also making Gentleman Society a main branch on its own, as well, and we may see flankers of it in the future. I will definitely buy more bottles when my 100ml bottle runs dry.
Thanks for sharing! I think a lot of brands are doing that right now. Taking new releases (or older ones) and building upon them, creating sort of "lines within lines." As long as the scents are good I really don't care what they are called tho 😉
Opening is great. The dry down is kind of muddled and don't love it. Gets annoying and where I am super excited and love it when I spray it on, it doesn't maintain this excitement. Not for me. Stick with EDP and Reserve Privee
Can't love them all! 😂😂Can see where they are going though as we veer away from Iris. Dior 2020 too. Will be exciting to see where Kurjdian takes Dior as Dior as a house seems to set the trends in the last 10 years and then everyone follows!
@@PEDROTORRES-zz1eb YES!!!!! Someone mentioned it, I have not seen it on JPGs official website though. Will be VERY interesting and I hope it's another banger..
Heyyy Mr. Rebel. I went around this weekend to the mall and got to try out alot of new releases (still can’t find magnetic) Society- safe masculine scent. Slightly on mature side. Drydown of vetiver and vanilla is meh but the opening had promise. Nothing special. (7/10) Victory elixir- nice spice and incense opening. Not too heavy and over time this sweetness comes in the back ground more and more (7.9/10) Bad Boy Extreme - I wanted to love this so much but I don’t. Starts off like the og but with a more Nutella vibe then in the mid the aromatics come out too strong and mix weird with the Nutella vibe. (7.3/10) YSL Y EDP Intense- pretty nice opening, you can tell that its a Y but different. Drys down mass appealing but generic. Overall very pleasant but nothing wow about it and definitely isn’t intense. (7.7/10) Bvlgari Rain Essence- very nice and calming scent. Fresh, watery, and cozy. (7.7/10) CH passion- opens up very close to Prada lhomme but dries down to a sorta mature fougere. (6.8/10 Boss pacific- a less sweet more fresh uplifting style of lebeau (7.9/10) My scale: 0 (Nasty) 1-2 (No way) 3-4 (Not for me) 5 (Good) 6-7 (Great to potential buy 8-9 (Must buy) 10 (HOF/Top Favs
Thanks for sharing! I have not tried BB Extreme, the Bvlgari or Boss Pacific. I look forward to though. I do love Le Beau so I'm curious on how intense that coconut is and how that salty note comes through?
@@rottenrebels you get the coconut fairly well. I’d say u get a bit more salt and citrus in the boss and the sweetness is dialed back. Think of it almost like le beau eau fraiche
