New Glitch Found in Halo Wars-Get a Scarab in the Tutorial+ Secret Area 

I wonder if the choppers are the health pools for the shield generators the prophet has to destroy, seeing as there are 3 of each and the choppers would normally be un-viewable .

The hidden units are part of what developers call "debug corner". It's a specific part of a gameplay area or map that players can't normally access, and is used primarily for feature and bug testing.

6:48 I remember creating a custom warthog unit that was able to be driven everywhere and Ensemble Studios made such a good physics engine that if a warthog got stuck down there then it wouldn't be able to climb back up unless if the Driver pedaled to the metal because they do that when they are told to drive out of the pit and fail several times.

I remember seeing those squads too when I modded HW1 a while ago in order to create a custom Multiplayer level. I don't remember if it was the advanced tutorial or the regular tutorial but I do recall seeing UNSC units like Cobra's owned by Rebels there too. Also the most likely reason why the squads or units are there is that they are non standard objects that the designers used for logic. So like the Choppers the other covenant squads may be used to store additional scripting data. I can't confirm this since HW1 map editing has not been fully figured out yet but in most games there is usually a special entity like "logic_relay" in the source engine which is used to handle stuff like what happens when the player passes through a trigger. Also the tutorial maps have a lot of invisible barriers and so I remember deleting most of them but some of them couldn't be deleted for some reason so I ended up copying the massive gates seen throughout this level and just placing them there.

super neat im guessing the hostile mobs are set to campaign covenant faction, and you are the multiplayer covie player 1 faction, both showing up as purple, but are indeed coded as separate factions and do fight eachother.

In Command and Conquer 3, and by extension Kane's Wrath, I figured out all kinds of ways to boundary break the tutorial by garrisoning infantry to prevent you from losing control of them, which culminates in jumping zone troopers into the enemy base from behind to blast everything that moves since the training AI aren't allowed to build anything that would be an actual threat to them. Once they secure the area you can easily take the barracks with a garrisoned engineer stolen from an earlier section and gain access to all kinds of illegal units, including more engineers to take more structures. As long as you don't touch the MCV with the objective marker on it the tutorial will never end, but you can make new MCVs, to exploring, and set up really weird hybrid bases made up of a combination of both factions wherever you want

both tutorial maps have the secret units in the same location :) (there are actually more units in the area, some just despawn/get killed later on)

you could build a bunch of units to stack up near the 3rd base site and possibly get more vision that way since they will move around to fit everyones needs at the location

Okay this is my jam! fun fact, you don’t need to beam so much you can use UNSC Mac blast to weaken the base a lot faster Also if you put on rebel leader you spawn troops with one star, I was also doing this years ago I’m shocked someone made a video on it hahaha

Never played the tutorials back in the day i don't think. It's interesting the advanced tutorial uses unique objects and stuff for freeing the prophet.

Interestingly enough, if you activate skulls during the tutorial, such as the one that gives non-player units extra veterancy, your troops get that extra veterancy. I think they're treated as both player units and non-player units.

I wish the tutorial was a 1 v 1 map.

If they ever made Halo Wars 3... they should have 30 main missions 3 side missions for all heroes/leaders that connect into the main game. Make blitz cards apply to skirmish/warzone mode. Redo the unit count to have bigger battles. Add all Halo factions:Unsc, Covenant, Banished, Flood, Prometheans, insurrectionist, ect. Plus add all concept art. More air units and space battles. Also add all concepts and maps from all the games into Halo Wars 3 to give it an all NEW Experience!!!
