I miss my 21 so damn much…. I got rid of it almost 20 years ago… I just put a 30SF on layaway. Previous owner never shot it… I scored. I cannot wait to be done paying her off. Comes with 4 mags too! Also yes, I’m behind the blue wall of commiefornia, it’s on roster
@@jorges2000 The frame is exact on both models. What’s different is the slide I’d slimmer on the 30s. And yeah there’s a difference you can both see and feel in regards to the 30s slide vs the 30 in my opinion
The Glock 30 is one of the weird handguns that I can hand almost anyone, no matter their experience, and know that they will shoot well with it. I was also surprised by it when I first shot it because of the lack of recoil. It is definitely one of my favorite Glocks to shoot when I have the extra 45.
I've had my Glock 30 for about 10yrs now. It's always been the Glock that I shoot the best with, and I don't know why. I just got it back from Jagerwerks who did a Holosun 509t optics cut for me. Get some x-grips for the Glock 21 13rd magazines. They feel just as good using them in the Glock 30 as they do in your Glock 26.
If I say I’m getting it, I’m getting it! I put them on layaway and I always have so many so I’m always paying a little here a little there haha. ARP coming next, ruger lcp max, and more
I just received my Glock 30s a few days ago and discovered it really is NOT a 10+1. If you load a 10 round magazine up with 10 rounds the magazine will not click into the magazine well with the slide closed. If you have the +1 round chambered then the 10 round magazine will only click into the magazine well with 9 rounds in the magazine. I have extra Glock 21 magazines that have a 13 round capacity and I can get a 13+1 out of that. So the Glock 30s should be advertised as a 9+1 gun.
This is true at first, but after I’ve had my 10 rd magazines loaded for some time, they are easily 10+1. I think the mag springs have to “break in”. Just my experience!
I've had my Glock 30sf for over 10 years now. No failures, decently accurate. I wouldn't recommend it for most people though. Too chunky for CCW. Too small for a bedside stand. You can improve the grips with Talon Grip tape or hockey tape wrap. If you want a .45acp home defense gun, 1911 or Glock 21 is the way to go. If you want CCW, 1911 commander maybe or use a different round. 9mm and 380acp guns are much better for CCW. Glock 30sf just sits for me. It doesn't do anything well other than go bang. So....a good back up I guess.
i love my 30sf, i've got green tru dot sights and carry with the 10+1 setup while at work and keep a backup Glock 21 mag in case shtf.. also keep a Glock 21 mag in it while at home
Nice vid bud! Used to have a gen3 glock 30 and currently have the glock 30sf. Both jammed multiple times in the brake in period. Still love it as a range toy because its such a soft shooter for a 45acp.
@@spnfirearms after break in its been 100% reliable 👍im sure yours will be great. Thanks for the content bud keep it coming. Just ordered my first 26 your vids definitely played a part in that decision lol
Awesome video. I just want to touch on one thing, at 5:33 you refer the your 30sf as a “thick boy.” You know gosh darn well that’s a beautiful thick girl, you can’t confuse the gender lol.
That is a very strange issue you have, I've never heard of Glock mixing things up that badly! Perhaps it was someone's first day. I have a G29, but I also have a G30 slide for some ammo flexibility. Personally, I have never liked the OEM 10 round mags with the weird pinky extensions, the rear corners dig into the heel of my hand. My preference was the 9 round mags with the "+2" extensions from Pearce Grips. Or just Glock 21 mags with an Xgrip sleeve.
No… how? That’s crazy. Order from buds gun shop. Pay $30 to become a member and you can put as many firearms on layaway as possible and pay them off as you go and I’ve never had one single issue..
@@spnfirearms Mann I have no idea when I ordered online the store was an FFL option to pick and it’s Dunhams im thinking no worries in and out and thanks for the suggestion im looking into them now I was so close to having my Glock 26
My brother just gave me his old CCW , a Glock 30 Gen 3. It's my first Glock in 45ACP. He said it hasn't been out of the safe in over 15 years. Missing a front sight, some holster wear on the nose and has no mags. I live in an unfree state (10 rd max) and was thinking about making this my home defense gun. Not looking to change or spend much. Can you please make some recommendations on night sights, magazines, etc. Did i luck up or is this a p.o.s. any help would be appreciated. Thanks
Good thing you don't live in restrictive R.I. because you couldn't say " I'll never use this 10 rd mag". You'd use it or buy a muzzle loader. Count your lucky stars.
I just picked up a Glock 30 and & when I load the last round I cannot seat the mag properly without some real effort. I really don’t want to do that as it it hits my ejector and I’m afraid it might start to bend it and cause a failure to eject. Anyone got suggestions?!
Haha agreed. I will call Glock on Monday and I’m sure they will just send me a new mag and let me keep the other one which ill sell on eBay or something haha . Thanks for watching
Just me,personally... Never liked glocks. Ordered a 30 SF recently. To me it's just a heavy, clunky, poor excuse for a pistol. Only plus is it does carry 10 rounds of .45acp. It will be gone soon.
