Since it is diffused using a shoot through umbrella, I would like to believe that this can be done with most speedlights (does not have to be roundhead) or a Godox AD200.

Great video. It is interesting to see all the reflected yellow in the video, but then see how the flash is enough to make correct skin tones and correct pink shorts colors. I really like the photograph at 2:44.

I have the V1, but using that umbrella in pretty much open shade to luminaire the subject. I am using mine mainly for off camera flash.

Nice work, was wondering if a v1 was good enough outside. I had 860iic and didnt like the way the light hit a model. The round head does a great job evening out hotspots from the bulb. Considering a v1 with grid or snout for rear highlights and ad200 pro with round head for main with 2 nissin carbon lightstands. Lightest kit I can think of.

Hi Andrea ! Is the Godox V1 powerful enough for outdoor shooting in sunlight for you ? I have testet the Godox ad300 but it don’t with my Hensel Grand Mini 85 Softbox. I want to use the V1 together with the 85cm Softbox with Hensel flash adapter as a beauti dish soft box open only with silver Reflektor. What is your experience? Can you please help me. I bought the V1-C and the XPRO for my mark iv. I want to use it just like u are doing in this video. However I cant get the xpro to sync to the v1 or vice versa. What am I doing wrong? I had a guy on Amazon tell me that I had to buy the slave for the master unit I'm gonna assume he meant the xpro. I dont think he knows what hes talking about.

¿ Y cuál es la diferencia de usar cualquier otro speedlite si resulta que estás usando un paraguas ? 🤔 Para eso uso un ad200 y saldría más barato. Lo interesante sería usarlo sobre la zapata para ver resultados y con los difusores/modificadores magnéticos.

So, no different than a standard flash. In order to make a soft light, diffuser, and since the V1 won't take a bowens mount, you're stuck with an umbrella. No reason I can see to get one. I'll stick with the 200 and usually use the bulb head to spread the light in the soft box, which doesn't catch the wind as much as the umbrellas do.

hi! head is the same as the model for ad200 hr200 ,but it's a great speedlight to have always in your backpack, the acessories are the same for the hr200 head (AK R1 )

It's a hard sell comparing it price wise with the AD200 versus the v860ii. The light pattern is way better than the v860ii, and it has a modelling light, but apart from that, why choose it over the v860ii?

@@HellbellyUK if using mirrorless camera and shooting weddings or event the modeling light that is adjustable works as a brilliant focus artist. Magnetic adapters are a huge time saver too. My 0.02

I have the ad600pro. It's a beast and I love it. But I'm not going to lug it around casually, I'm only going to use it for planned shoots. Something like these V1s you could easily store in your bag and have readily available at any given time. Also a great option for shoots in small quarters. And they have modeling lights as well for lower light situations, and video, which your standard speedlites don't have. I'm going to check out a couple more videos, but I'm strongly leaning towards purchasing a couple.

It's not about being stuck with an umbrella. A translucent umbrella is a tool just like any other modifier. And you can use this with the S2 Bowens mount flash bracket for any Bowens mount modifier. So there's that.

Grazie, non uso nulla di particolare mi concentro sulle foto ma per i video uso fotocamere compatte per esempio il video che hai commentato e stato girato con Sony RX100V a 50fps, ora uso Dji Osmo Pocket 3 uso questo per praticità e portabilità dal momento che gestisco tutto da solo

Ciao Luca ,quando usavo molto di più i normalissimi speedligh in HSS ne usavo se possibile sempre due, per avere più luce a potenze più basse e pure per evitare il surriscaldamento, cosa importate l'ombrello si riempie meglio

Quando scatto sotto 1/200 non scatto in HSS con la Canon e giustamente ho tutta la potenza del flash , se la tua domanda è posso usare un singolo V1, la risposta e si 👍

Andrea grazie ... quindi due flash riempiono meglio l'ombrellino e essendio due li usi a potenza inferiore hai meno surriscldamento e tempi di ricarica più veloci ... ok .... sull'hss penso di essere parecchio confuso me lo devo studiare meglio😅... avevo capito che si usa quando si scatta a tempi più veloci del tempo di sync come ad esempio se si scatta a 1/1000 cosa che può capitare se si vuole sfocare lo sfondo con un f1.4 ad esempio .... boh va beh scusami e grazie delle risposte e della pazienza ... veramente gentile ... un saluto

Ciao Andrea ti seguo sempre con piacere. Volevo farti due domande con relativi consigli. In procinto di acquistare flash non ho ben capito perché dover andare a spendere quasi 300 euro per un v1 quando poi praticamente sempre si usa un diffusore o un ombrello. Non vale la pena a questo punto prendere un flash base con un ben ng60 con cento euro? Seconda domanda la griglia a che serve? Grazie

Ciao Andrea la griglia la uso quando devo dare luce ai capelli molto direzionale e precisa, che non vada ad influenzare l’effetto delle altre luci e per evitare il flare controluce Per quanto riguarda il flash ti consiglio v850 II , sinceramente io opterei per un secondo ad200

No è un ottimo flash più lo usi e più ti accorgi delle differenze da un normale speedlight precedente partendo dalla temperatura colore

1,. Depends what body you have. if you have full-frame or aps-c. on a full-frame, best lenses for portrait photography are 50mm 85mm or 135mm, while 50mm f1,8 from sony is the cheapest option. 2. you can use flash to your benefit, but it is not necessarry. without flash you have to be more creative when positioning your model and it also helps to shoot early in the morning or during golden hour around sunset, or when it is cloudy, to get softer light. 4.. you can use anything you want, even edit on mobile. most photos are used for social media, so yes, you can totally edit photos on mobile. For example via PhotoshopExpress app or Lightroom or Snapseed to name a few apps for a smartphone. Hope it helps, even though it has been a year.

@@soumenmondal1839 Yes for sure, AD200 is a 200W power whilst the V1 is in the range of 70W+ only, it really depends on the purpose, the V1 is good enough when shooting in shade surely but if you want to create dramatic portraits in bright sunlight you need way more power even more than the AD200.

Andrea Carretta mi ricollego a questo post . Possiedo già un ad200 è un 685. Ipotizzando L acqusito di un ulteriore flash andresti su un 685 con poca spesa o mi consiglierest un altro ad200 in modo da poterlo usare anche doppio con quello che ho già è ottenere 400w? Il v1 serve davvero se poi utilizziamo diffusori?
