Sir, In the specs. of V1 the guide no. is mentioned as 76Ws. What value it corresponds in terms of meters at ISO 100 & the flash head at 100/200 mm? Pl. reply.

The V860 II has more power and faster recycle time. If you are a event or wedding photographer I wouldnt recommend the TT685. Is a good flash but it's not reliable at all. That's my experiencie.

Best on camera flash review I have seen. Purchased the Adorama version of the V1 a couple of weeks ago and love it! I used it in TTL mode and after over 600 shots still had half a battery left.

For the v860 there is an accessory pack you can buy to mount the accessories of the v1.. check on adorama or amazon.. both carry it It's only $65

Does the V1 do the TTL preflash that many on camera flashes do, or is it a straight pop like a studio flash?

All TTL flashes perform a preflash in TTL mode.

The only thing that would cause me to upgrade to this for my A7R3 would be if the auto-focus assist light works. I can't find anywhere online that can confirm that as of yet. That is my biggest gripe about the Sony cameras is that the AF assist doesn't work with any of my Godox products.

Informative review on this awesome flash. Im currently using the Godox TT685N and cant wait to get my hands on the new Godox V1 👍 It seems to have everything from attachments, HSS, modelling lamp and the li-ion battery I feel it truly it would do for most types of photography 📸 Thank you for the time you took in making this review 👌🏼

get the S-R1 adapter and you will basically have the same functionality. Add the diffuser plate on top and the light pattern will basically be the same

For that use the V860, same result with a soft box. What I end up doing was getting the AD200 Pro for soft box use, V1 for camera and off camera use, AD200 Pro cost about the same with 3 times the power or something like that

Earlier this month I picked up the evolv 200/ad200 from adorama. I just ordered the flashpoint/godox v860ii because I wanted to use it in an s mount bracket along side my evolv 200.. though I will be getting the V1 soon along with the ad200 round head adapter. There is a $65 accessory pack that gives the v860ii the ability to mount all of the V1's round magnetic accessories Which will be great. I saw both units in person when I was in nyc. One thing I do like about the v1 is the modeling light which will be helpful for focusing in low light if I'm shooting events.

Both are extremely harsh in direct mode. So you don't want to shoot either of them like that. The benefit of the better spread of the v1 is in how it fills up a modifier for example

MagMod vs V1 accessories kit ........Basic MagMod (mushroom shaped) globe is way HEAVIER than the Godox semi sphere attachment . I own the MagMod AND have used the V1 accessory

Really good job on the video and clearly the V1 has more advanced features than the 860. At the same time you make a good case for one who has the 860 to consider getting the V1 and having both. I currently have the 860. I think the addition of the V1 with the accessories might be the way to go. After all, they both can be controlled by the camera top master unit.

The photo sample is stuck. The OCF sample has a different light Because of the other lights that are supposed to be top lights, the picture is very soft. I think this is deceiving people in a very important way.
