Because when you delete a game your progress will end and when you download the game you deleted you have to start the whole thing from the start.

Actually same happened to me but i actually talked to support They said that they DELETE all the accounts that are inactive for 6 months or so. The agent said that you should enter gangstar vegas once every 1-3 months in order to avoid getting yoir account deleted. The reason they delete accounts is "to keep their server capacity optimal" Also as long as you have a proof of in-game purchases you can refund all your purchases you made on a lost account and also you can get whopping teeny tiny 3 items of choice as a "compensation" of getting your years old account deleted. I lost my 2 accounts that each were 1+ year old but now my new account actually has more stuff and is more advanced cuz now gems are growing on the trees (street cred gives u 250 gems) and you can also get free VIP points daily from real estates/districts which is actually huge. My current acc is like 2-3 months old but i have earned over 4k gems (bought deluxe minigun and formula 1, each costing 1550 gems). All in all, while you may've lost exoskeletons you may've paid for, a lot of items are still obtainable cuz of quick progression.
