So just installed mine. But looks like you need to have the pc on WiFi. If mine is hard wired…. Any thoughts on how to make that work? Or do I have to WiFi enable my PC?
EDIT AND UPDATE! As of March 2024 the latest software has fixed all the issues. CPU usage is negligible. They fixed the old high CPU use problem. Still can't stream copy protected content (Netflix etc) without a black screen. HDCP blocks the video thinking dreamview is recording the content or something.
Yes have your Ethernet from your PC go to the same router you are connecting your WiFi to. Turn your WiFi on via your PC and connect it for the first time if it’s not registering the first time.
Hello I bought this light strip, installed it but it is very laggy. When I put Dream View the lags are very annoying. Color is changing after 1sec. Do you guys have same issue ??
I would 100% go with the larger size. It’s made for 27” and up. The way the side breaks are it’s easy to loop the extra slack with the clamps. You would hate to get the smaller size and just not have enough.
Looks great! I'm wondering if it's possible to configure the Govee RGBIC Wi-Fi Gaming Light Bars with the Smart Controller to work with DreamView for the reactive effect, rather than purchasing the versions that include a camera. Do you have any information on this?
The lights are not so new yo the market, govee had those modelos around for a Lot of time but, support for the app un the initial months we're not the Best... Lately from august 2023 has Made alot of improvements and now can Buy with confidence... Rooms with los ligth Will give You Even a more inmersive experience
Hey thanks! I just grabbed 1 Govee RGB light strip and stuck it around the edges. You need to get the metal pegboard with a thicker edge, it’s cheap enough also. Let me know if you need any links!

HI! Govee DreamView works with Mac. The Govee Lite app requires macOS 11.0 or later and a Mac with Apple M1 chip or later. You can also use the Home Assistant MacOS app to control Govee lighting.
Mine was constantly disconnecting when using the Dreamview sync lighting, the LAN icon turns red once every few minutes and automatically reconnects. Tried to switch the LAN off and on again still doesn't help😓
For the price and ease of set up this and an M1 strip is probably fantastic. However, I use six original phillips Hue bulbs that I got used for supercheap and even though I’m a much bigger fan of Goey than phillips six bulbs surrounding the back of my monitor, pointing in all directions is leaps and bounds better. Just a thought for anyone that sees this and doesn’t know they can do that with Phillips lightbulbs.

nice video, thanks for sharing. i have the govee envisual t2 for my 65" tv i was wondering how these would stack up to the T2 looks pretty good honestly!
I have t2 for the tv and it is amazing! I didn't expect it to draw me into the movie or game so much, I have a 65 inch tv but the tv seems larger because the light around the tv shines on the wall and is not in the center of your vision so you dont see as much detail, this has a awesome effect of making the tv and scene seem like it is much larger way more immersive! unfortunately mine only lasted 3 weeks before the box quit working I didn't have time to send the rma in :( this seems to be a common problem btw @@QGinHQ
Do I necessarily have to have the Govee G1 to synchronize my other Govee lights with the "Govee Desktop app"? Or is it not mandatory and through WiFi I can connect my other Govee lights so that they are synchronized with my PC, please answer me, I want to buy The Govee neon rope light, and I would like to synchronize them with my PC with the application without using the camera, and through HDMI connect them to my TV😌
Some say it does... i read the comments under a different video, from another creator, and this guy said he was losing 5 - 10 fps with the product on... we need to know more about this issue!
