New GTA Online Drift Racing Guide! 

Do you like the new drift races in GTA Online?

the drifting is surprisingly fun honestly considering the fact that their previous attempts at something like this haven't been all too great

These races are one of the biggest reasons for me to jump back on, looks fun!

One thing I like about the drift racing is, as far as I can tell, skill with a particular car is more important than the far itself. This has been my favorite update in a long time.

Great guide Ty... Like you said, these drift races are really addicting..I just want to drift 1 long drift for the whole race... I've done it once on a 2 lap in the LSIA track... So much fun...

Thanks for the guide. I was doing a 1 v 1 on beach slap with someone, and when I thought I had it, it turns out they did some prolong drift that made them earn 100k+ points that made them take the lead and i tried so hard to catch up but ended up losing with 100k less points than them which made me feel down but after watching this guide and done some practice runs on solo I have definitely gotten much better than i was in that race.

Btw in real life 4wd drifting is a thing, but its more about speed instead of control.

Doing the races is a good way to play with the drifting to see if it's something you like before you spend 200k to put it on your personal car. They are fun but still not sure if I want to put it on my car.

How about at the end of the race, should you cash in your points before crossing the finish line or will they automatically count?

Who said the mod makes your car awd. Put your car against a wall and gas it. Hold handbrake and launch

This has nothing to do with drifting! The car is sliding from side to side. You dont have to use the handbrake or anything. I Think it was a bad Way to implement. Should have given us different types of tires that decresses traction instead.

Does angle or speed make significant difference on points? I have completed an entire race next to another player but they made 50k more points

Reminds me of Project Gotham Racing for Xbox. Same concept.

I feel the cars are way slower in the races compared to being in freemode

What's stopping someone from going the wrong way and accumulating drift points if race finish points don't matter? I am new to drift races in GTA online.

not givin the option to start drift races in any menu. how do i unlock these races. i have the LSCM membership

Hey i joined a game the other day and it was awesome fun, however i followed your guide to try host and its not available for me i cannot find it in rockstar created races... Do i need to buy a chop shop or something im unaware of? Tia

I stopped doing races ages ago due to players just slamming into you and ruining ur race just be nice to race fare amd no dirty tricks but sadly dont happen

tried it and it felt like torture trying to finish with such an uncontrollable vehicle.

What if you have a Yankton plate applied to one of the cars would it disappear or we owe remain the same?

Seems a little like forza horizons drifting

No contact racing sucks, it's why most races on GTA suck. Might as well just have single player only.
