Do you think the patch fixed the game enough? P.S. All the visual errors you see are not from video rendering. That includes freezes and the side by side comparison for the boss cutscene not ending at the same time.
Sadly no. Gatling and Machine guns were severely NERFED along with irradiation attacks. Not to mention that we did indeed get slightly more suits compared to Breaker 3. Unfortunately, this game just wasn't able to be salvaged especially since they basically just up and unplugged the game for us. Also, in the off chance they are watching; they have to know this. You guys rushed this game but not Gunpla Warfare? What the hell?! Had you actually worked on this game rather than abandoning it, we probably would have spent more time on it!
It fixed the game a lil bit but not enough for breaker fans to be like "this is the game we want". I still enjoy it even with its many flaws. If only they invested more time and effort into it. HOPEFULLY we get another NGB after all the support the mobile game is getting and they've learned thier lesson
@@frankford2207 They didn't. Bandai only seeks to make money at any cost. But some of the blame rests with us as well because we didn't properly let them know what happened. After all, they do have an American branch of Bandai Namco.
I could forgive most of the problems with NGB if it were not for the changes made to the building side of the game, and the insistence on equipping enemy parts. Like what’s even the point in gathering most of the parts when there are a select few that are just better stats wise and you can’t improve the stats of your favorite parts?
I think they did that all for the sake of online multiplayer balance. The game was centered around online multiplayer. In GB3, I got carried by 1 player. He kills everything and finishes it for me while I only there to die.
The worst faults of this game weren't the bugs though, it was the main gameplay changes. Quest-focused battles (balanced so that _any kit can do it,_ btw), more fragile parts forcing you to equip foreign parts, limited inventory forcing you to return every 5 minutes, and the cheapo galge-level story missions being put in front of classic Gundam-styled ones. Sure, some like the bazooka stunlocks and the loading hitches can be fixed. But the deal breakers were all fault by design. Whomever signed all of these should be put in the back burner, if Bamco hasn't already treated them that way with Gundam Breaker Mobile.
@@setsuthehotdog758 more like you *have to use bazookas to bring the stunlocks back to the enemy.* Other than that, yes. You can technically complete the game with any parts you want, but it won't mean anything because every part is paper thin and will come off from your inner frame like a loose Real Grade part would. *So you're forced to kitbash on the spot anyway.*
@@setsuthehotdog758 story, huh? Gundam games never really have a good story past the 6th generation of consoles. If you're just looking for high octane action, then Gundam Versus games are for you. You can pretty much do most of the moves you see on the anime with your respective MS. If you want to build your own Gunpla while you're at it, then Gundam Breaker 3 would be the peak that you want. The story is on par/below OG Build Fighters though.
Gundam breaker 3 is still the superior game and that’s sad because it shouldn’t be that way. The gameplay and building aspects crushes that of new gundam breaker period.
Honestly, the game overall had that too many flaws. Repetitive story missions. fragile parts. stun locks. frame rate drops. lack of getting specific parts. removal of certain customization items from previous game. No Co-op . No real reason to create different gunpla because you only use the strongest parts. Skill locking. No Variety in different modes. Lack of DLC. The price of purchasing new gunpla was outrageous. And I still bought the game day 1 if they ever come out with another one I'll buy it again just hopefully they don't make the same mistakes
Too little too late, but overall it still doesn't fix the core problems of the game, these were more on the minor end sadly. I was so excited for this too and then I got it... I never thought I'd have a Gundam Breaker game and end up shelving it in less than 2 days, with no plans to ever touch it again. I'd sell it but it only nets $3 at Gamestop ($3.30 if you have a pro membership) and no one's really buying it online in general so I've just decided it's part of my collection now, even though I don't really want it as part of it lol (I'll just grin and say it's an obligatory Gundam collection piece). It sucks too because I bought the Gunpla bundle off of Bandai Namco's site, which was really lazy since there was no box to contain the game and gunpla box like the other regions that did the Premium Edition, it was just the game case and gunpla box packed side by side in the shipping box for the same price as the other regions, but again handled lazily. That's kind of something Bandai Namco NA has been doing lately, they've either done very lackluster expensive CE's compared to other regions or they label them as one thing, but it's just a half assed pieced out release of the other regions CE's, but at the same price or more.
IMO, this entry into the breaker series left a bad taste in everyone's mouth.. I wouldn't be surprised if they never made another for the west after how it faired..
It didn't fair well in the east either. They're targeting the same new audience they're after with all the new Gundam Build "x" series. While enjoyable, it's just different than what older Breaker fans are used to.
Homesly the gameplay mechanics is what ruins it for me while Gunpla Warfare is actually more fun to play them this game. They would have to rebuild it from the ground up and might as well just make another NGB with different mechanics.
Is this game good? I love gundam but never played a gundam breaker game. This game i can pick up for like 15 euros, i see alot of negativity and i cant really pick up gb3 asi would have to import it etc wich is way more costly. Plz respond with a open look at my situation and not a hate band wagon idea.
Well apart from Cross Rays this is the only gundam fix I’ve got on Steam so might have to reinstall this. Btw check out Daemon X Machina - it silently launched on Steam after debuting on Switch and is a really competent mech game!
@@GundamHQ Have you never tried SD G Gen games before? Unless you dislike strategy games, they're heaven for Gundam fans. Highly recommend you try out Genesis or Overworld.
@@TheRibbonRed Yes I've played more than my fair share. Some of my favorites include G Gen DS, World, and Generation of CE which I like a lot because its just regular mobile suits instead of SD
Um, next time you are doing a performance comparison video, include the frame rate. Also, state your system. I did work it out from the button icons that it's PS4, but you don't even bother saying that or if it's a PS4 pro. Terrible video.
Anyone still playing this? I platinumed it and kind of quit. I did not mind the gameplay, and tuning kits to do specific things ended up with pretty hilarious results
I hammered through everything pretty fast and haven't played much since. If you wanted to check out our discord I know for awhile past release a lot of people were playing so I'm sure you can find at least someone there.
@@blakehiggins5746 I recently started at the game. Currently building a purple frame gundam blitz with mirage colloid. I assume it was abused in pvp? Too bad, I think the game is long dead already.
