Spring can be quite a difficult season for sensitive people because of the drastic changes in environment and seasons.
Not only do you overreact to your own changes, but you also overreact to the changes and words and deeds of the people around you. Even if fatigue is not obvious, fatigue will accumulate, making it easy for physical and mental health to collapse...
"Rest when you are tired."
It's simple and obvious,
But for people like me who have mental illness, it's really hard...
If you grew up in a dysfunctional family, it’s hard to understand what “rest” means
Because it’s hard to notice fatigue.
Because we have a lot of patience.
Because when we were children, we were always on tenterhooks, because even when we returned home, home was not a "safe base" for us.
But if I don’t get enough rest, I will accumulate stress and even develop a sense of self-loathing, thinking that I am not good enough.
That’s why, starting this spring, I’ve created a few rituals for myself.
Keeping a good routine, I rest well when I need it.
In the morning, listening to the songs of birds and eating breakfast
At noon, take a nap, look out the window, think about the weather that day, and try to catch some sunshine.
In the evening, while having dinner, recall the little pleasures of the day
Before going to bed, read a book under dim light
Then go to sleep 💤.
This is my goal for this year.
I believe it will cure my illness-prone constitution 🌿.

I have lived in Japan for 10 years following my husband's posting
We live a simple life of 2 couples & 4 cats.
I grew up in a dysfunctional family with some abuse.
My self-esteem was in tatters.
I repeatedly cut my wrist.
Now I have a sleep disorder, anxiety disorder and borderline personality disorder.
I'm emotionally unstable, a crybaby and prone to mental illness.
I can't leave the house on my own,
Almost a recluse except on her husband's holidays.
Likes alone time.
I feel calm when I am with my husband.
I have other ways to calm my mind, hobbies and interests, other than wrist cutting.
I am trying my best to live my life, looking for ways to spend my time in a positive way.
