And the sad thing no one talks about is how these women are literally robbed for their hair. Imagine sitting in a movie theater somewhere in Asia and someone behind you cuts your ponytail off because they know there are a large market of buyers(black women) in the United States who will pay you well for it

It can be a lot sometimes, but I believe as summer is around the corner, more natural hair brands will go viral on social media ( tiktok, facebook, instagram etc). I think these products were launched due to high school and college events. Many young people might choose to purchase these products in order to style their hair for spring break, prom, graduation etc. Thank you for commenting and sharing your opinion!

I have noticed that more hair professionals are turning against maximum-hold products. I also believe the reason why these brands are more popular than black-owned brands is probably due to the price. A lot of young black women who are on a budget (especially on tiktok) and in school tend to navigate towards these brands. At the same time, they are often bombarded with influencer marketing (and many purchase these products in hopes of being influencers themselves.) Many want to easily replicate popular styles on a tight budget. Hopefully, more black-owned brands can gain traction online as well. Thanks for commenting and stopping by our channel!

I think we all know why most Black owned brands are expensive: lack of capital, lack of generational wealth, lack of ownership of the trade routes and such, I could literally go on and on. And at the end of the day, it's a business, the point of which is to make a profit.
