Pokemon run&bun is the newest hotness in the rom hacking community, made by a nuzlocker, for nuzlockers, the creator dekzeh is a twitch streamer and seasoned veteran of the genre, having nuzlocked games like emerald kaizo, radical red hardcore mode and unbound insanity mode, he’s a very skilled player. Run&Bun at it’s core is a game focusing on its massive difficulty and challenge and is heavily inspired by emerald kaizo but with many modern quality of life changes, such as how the games mechanics are made with the assumption you’re nuzlocking and are tailored for such, the game features 8 generations of pokemon and mega evolutions, but the main thing to talk about is the insane difficulty, this game is not for the casual gamers in the slightest, the challenge is massive, every trainer has custom movesets and items with sooo many mandatory trainers you have to fight, hours of planning is required, and most importantly, the boss fights are the most ludicrous I have seen in any game, giving dark rising a run for its money, look, this is the first gym leader, what the hell is this, and THIS is the third leader, well that’s certainly a team if I say so myself, oh you think this is bad, spoiler alert the difficulty actually spikes significantly later on as if that was even remotely necessary, yeah. Spoiler alert again I haven’t beaten this game, nobody has yet, but here’s what happened in my attempt, maybe if you’re struggling you can learn from some of my strats and do better than me, obviously this will be a hardcore nuzlocke, so…let’s begin.
