It first scales off toughness dmg of the attack, so for HTB the basic has 30 toughness dmg and skill also has 30 toughness dmg, but since the skill bounces 4 more times (at E5 where they are at now), your skill is doing more super break compared to basic. The other stats like break effect are calculated into dmg afterwards. You kinda also need to skill for the energy since the ult cost is so huge. (I'm not sure of the exact numbers but the concept is there)

ruan mei is the reason this comp does so much dmg, without the efficiency buff and res pen and BE buff all this dmg would be halved not to mention the free 10% spd buff, these buffs can't be done by other harmony supports

I probably won’t do a video for it but I did try out the team w/o Ruan Mei and with Sparkle for a bit so I’ll share what I found there. First off, I think Ruan Mei is just too important for a break team for the reasons the other comment pointed out. On top of those reasons, the extended break is also super important as it not only gives extra damage due to break uptime, it also gives survivability since the mobs aren’t able to deal damage for a longer time since they’re broken. With a hyper carry support like Sparkle or Bronya (not 100% on Robin but it’s probably also not that great for a break centric team), you deal less damage overall and your survivability is now not as consistent since mobs get to attack more. With HTB, you kind of have to run a full break effect centric team so having a hyper carry support is kinda anti-synergistic. You can still clear with a Sparkle over Ruan Mei in this team but it’s slower and less consistent. So if you’re running a HTB team, you kinda need Ruan Mei for a break focus team. If you don’t have Ruan Mei I think the HTB team falls off quite a bit.

why use Sparkle that use CDM when you play BE But youcan change it to ROBIN for additional Damage even when enemy its not weakness state
