Floyd: "Tell me about September 17th." Victor: "I'm gonna take my belt." Floyd: "Tell me the gameplan." Victor: "Well, I'm gonna brutalize you for 12 rounds..." Floyd: "I thought first you were gonna knock me out?" Victor: "Okay, uh, I'll knock you out for sure. I'm gonna do what, uh... Chavez did to, uh..." Floyd: "Say 'Roger'. Come on." Victor: "Right, Roger. 1985." Floyd: "What else?" Victor: "... I'll just show you." Hate on him all you want, Floyd is a MASTER of mind games. He was so in Victor's head here, it was embarrassing.
I think Mayweather is a master of understanding human behaviour. It's difficult to explain but you can see it. His emotions and smile and everything about him give off confidence
ceffrey jastillo He made victor play his game: "Tell me what you're gonna do," Mayweather said. Victor never should have tried to explain himself in response to this question. Doing so gave Mayweather the upper hand. A better response would have been something like "Don't worry about it. I'll show you." Of course, this is just my opinion.
i know floyd likes to fuck with people heads in shit but i think at that part you where you were saying about victor i think he was just being a dumbass.... psychological shit is that smirk floyd does that confidence, that arrogance helps him out he puts down his opponents down like that and shit
Is that velvet not a big Floyd fan but technically he is the best, I would like to have seen Floyd V Shane both in their Prime's, also I'd like to see Floyd V Manny both in their primes
7:25 ''If you make any mistakes you have to pay.'' Damn Floyd knew from the start Ortiz would try some dirty shots, big guy, young it's what's expected, and he paid for that few seconds of a headbutt. *Shame*, *should've* *listened* *to* *Floyd*.
Floyd is so damn smooth. Victor is sitting their pouring his heart out, talking about i got the hear of a warrior, etc. Floyd is just sitting their laughing his ass off LOL.
Floyd fought Ortiz when he was dangerous in the division. It's only because he's had bad performances after this fight that they discredit Floyd's performance.
Victor Ortiz reminds me a lot of Andrew Golota. A guy who had talent to be a great heavyweight, but he couldn't escape the demons of his personal life and it shows in his dirty tactics along with quitting during the face of adversity. That how I view Victor Ortiz entire career. Another thing that really bothered me about Ortiz was that he wants the boxing public and casual fans to feel sorry for him about his childhood. But he wants to use it as an excuse for his losses. Regardless what people think of Mayweather, he never use his childhood as an excuse throughout his career and he has that the unbreakable confidence where you will have to knock him out. He stays dedicated to his craft everyday even after fights.
"Im finna get in there and destroy this kid." haha.... I wish Ortiz would have protected himself, we could have watched Floyd school him for another 7-8 rounds.
10:04 "I don't think I can lose" that's is confidence. he believes in his ability 100%. it takes a lot of guts to proclaim that you don't think you can lose. he beats fighters on experience alone
but the mistake wasn't the headbutt 100% it was mainly not protecting himself at all times! if Ortiz had his guard up and not so stupid he could of went the stretch with Floyd! no one knows what would of happened but yes, he made a mistake and paid the price!. :)
Meta Man actually he said the fight may not go in to the 4th round, and it obviously did, and he also said there was 5 ways to beat pacquiao and it became true, so i wouldn't read much in to it.
Ortiz was defiantly ready for Mayweather (physically) but Mentally, he was exposed by Floyd during this face off. Mayweather read the situation like a book and knew that he could discourage and outsmart Ortiz in the ring we ease.
Weird moments from Ortiz: "Yourself, along many in this world said; 'You have no courage, you have nothing, you're never gonna be anything'. And the moment you sat back and did that to me, man you ripped that heart right out of me, you stomped all over it, and I sat back and said; 'Max, Thank you!'" ??Whaaat?? 1:52 "You can be this, that, be the King of the world, but I am the new king, so I don't care" ??Whaaatttt?? 10:06
RevolutionarySoldier Or "I'm gonna beat you up for 12 rounds" and then Floyd retorts immediately with "first you said you were gonna knock me out" Ortiz: "Oh then I'll knock you out" lmfaooooo
May the best fighter on Sept. 17th win. Respect to both fighters. Victor Ortiz is a strong hungry ambitious fighter, you can feel it in his tone. Mayweather, a naural born gifted boxer... hopefully his perspective doesn't underestimate Ortiz heart. Can't wait to see the outcome... Then see the following outcome event after that. GL to all four fighters?!!
Mayweather said "YOU DON'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT ME BOXING AND MOVING, I'M GOING TO STAND MY GROUND" and he did exactly that. He fucked Ortiz at his own game. God, I can't believe some people are still doubting Mayweather.
He was looking directly at floyd wen he got knocked out. And the ref said lets go. Victor just wasnt paying attention and the clock was going to. In any sport if the clock is running u should be ready.
I can't wait for this fight and the trilogy with Pacquiao vs. Marquez. Although both fights are swinging in favor to Mayweather and Pacquiao, it's still a must watch. I think it's a great way to build up the mega fight between the pound for pound kings and it gives boxing fans a glimmer of hope for the fight to finally happen. 2011 has had some really good matches between big name fighters, but these upcoming matches by Money and Pac would be great cap for this year.
Floyd deserves mad respect for taking on Ortiz.. Ortiz is really young and powerful and at the top of his game at the moment.. Plus Vicious is southpaw. People can't call Mayweather a pussy.. the fight with Pac-Man will eventually come but it would help if Manny would drop the lawsuit because that isn't helping..
