I totally agree with you about keeping the wellness journal seperate. I use a May Design notebook with an undated 7 days a week setup with a large space at the bottom to journal. I make note of my workouts, steps and journal about how I was feeling and a little bit about how my week went. Really like your layout and how you decorated your spreads. I think it's important to make things visually/physically appealing so that you use your materials.

Thanks for sharing!! I love hearing what others use and what they track. That sounds like a great setup. I really love this layout - it just feels right and it's so super quick to decorate and setup so it doesn't stress me out to get it ready. And I find myself reaching for it throughout the day so I know it's doing its job and I just love it! Plus I'm having success again on my weight loss journey so it's a win! And you are so right about making it appealing! It's so important for me to have a little deco in my planners to inspire me. I'm not a heavy decorator but I gotta have a little something 😀

Thanks! Hopefully I'll get the flip up next week (if all goes well LOL). I've made a note to do a video on wellness planner options too.

Love it. What a great idea using the papertess planner. I am using a sterling ink weeks size for mine. I haven't been doing very well in it....but I hope slowly I will get better through the months. I think cuz I am not doing what i am supposed to in real life play a big part.. hehe. I'm just gonna say January and February are start up trial months. 😁. I am excited to see your journey in this planner and how it looks through the months.

I've had lots of start-up trial months over the years so I totally get it. I find that this is working really well - I'm enjoying it so it's making me want to be in it and update it. I think the layout is great for health but also it's super quick to setup and really quick to update daily so it doesn't feel like a chore. And I'm generally (not always) making more conscious, better choices because I'm updating it and seeing where I'm at throughout the day :) Best of luck with yours too! I'd love to get updates on how it's going for you as well!

I am the opposite. I like having an EDC with it all. My health log is the dailies which takes up a lot of the space, and then I have monthly and weeklies for my to do etc. then I have separate pages for other stuff like family, tv streaming expire dates, work, etc. I need to have it all in one book so I can have access to it all the time. Right now I’m in a B6 CP undated for 5 months, February being the last month. March will be B6 slim cafe press with all blank pages. I am planning on using 2 pages per day to give me more room for writing, which is what I used to do when I first started years ago in A6. One page side is sleep, feelings, symptoms, mood and opposite page is food, fitness, etc. and I color code. Lunch food is pink ink and then I will write in pink on opposite page if there were any reactions etc. dinner is different color with same. I can see at a glance much better that way, but in my current B6, it was only one page, and there really wasn’t enough room, even though I have been doing much better health wise. I just want to get more details on the page, since it’s a “history” that I refer back to a lot Everyone is so different, and I hope you find what will work for your own personal needs. Good luck. Glad you shared!

I totally get that - I think since I have to keep my work separate (since I work in the office and that planner stays at work - and it has info in it not for the public) it's a little easier for me to separate things because I've been so used to it for so long. I did think about combining my EDC - like in A6 rings to have a weekly and two-page dailies to fit it all in...but it makes it kind of a chunk. If i had more time I'd do something more bujo for my EDC (and maybe will in the future) but for now this works well. But also right now I need my wellness part to feel special and exciting - something new and different....making my health a focus which is what I need. :) But of course when things become more routine or I don't need to track as much things could definitely change. And with the standard TN it might all end up being together as well if I find that I just really love that fit. Time will tell. But I'm definitely excited for this. It's working and that's a huge thing because I've been struggling to find a good fit for a while :) Your set-up sounds great. Thank you for sharing!!!

@@JustScribble I remember You’re been trying to get a health journal to work for a while. I really hope it works this time! I went back to finish watching the video and I had a specific question about something and then I went to cook dinner and now I can’t remember it. Ugh. I tried to rewind a little to see if something would trigger my memory. Anyway, I believe talks from the heart is using the weeks size too. She loves it!

@@JustScribble oh good! I love her channel too. You both are different but give me joy! And I remembered my question. Off planner topic, but how do you track steps? I was thinking of getting Apple Watch. Didn’t know if you had one or something else.
@JustScribble
@JustScribble 6 месяцев назад
@@dtmama I wear a Garmin watch. I still get texts like I would with an Apple Watch ⌚️ but it’s cuter I think. It tracks my steps and sleep. And back when I was a runner I used garmin and I’m a big fan of their products. I’ve had a few of their watches over the years but the one I have now is this one and I really like it. www.garmin.com/en-US/p/643399

Thanks for sharing! I was chuckling when you were explaining your thoughts on moving to the book bound because it sounded like me trying to explain to my husband anything about planners and which one I want to use. Planner people get it. Everyone else thinks we're nuts. 😂 I appreciate you sharing your thought process. It helps me think through my ststem as well and not feel alone. I'm wondering if you've ever heard of anyone getting a tomoe river paper planner cut and spiral bound or disc bound? I've been toying with the idea because i really like only seeing the page I'm on for that day. It helps me focus. I've also considered trying a weeks size two page spread per day... Not sure. Right now I use a Daily Duo A5 size, but I love the slimmer profile of tomoe river paper planners and that a year is in one book. So many options!!
@JustScribble
@JustScribble 6 месяцев назад
There are definitely so many options! Honestly can't go wrong with any of them as long as it fits your needs and is workable for how you plan. I've not seen many people spiral bind TRP but I think it would work ok - you'd just have to not be too overly rough turning pages. I have seen and also tried discbound TRP. It doesn't work well unless you reinforce where you punch with washi which is a pain IMHO - just because of the slits for the discs it doesn't slide on discs as well and comes off easier than thicker paper without some stabilization. BUT TRP works great in rings. I've shared a few unboxings of ring insert paper in TRP and I also print and cut my own. @alibrown and @sterlingink also use TRP in rings and it works really well. And you can get slimmer rings - to be not too chunky if you don't like bigger ring systems and it makes it feel more like writing in a book-bound planner than rings. But since you use the EC Daily Duo the rings probably don't bother as much --- since it's not much different than the spiral.
@jessicadupuis4958
@jessicadupuis4958 6 месяцев назад
My issue with rings is that it's the same thing as a book bound planner. You have to see both pages at once, instead of being able to fold it over on itself like on a spiral or disk. I was worried about the strength of the paper with spiral or disc binding it.

Oh I thought you got the weekly size. 😅 Love how you combined the inserts to serve your purpose. I also track a lot of things on my health planner. Love how well-lived and used this looks! Do you think you'll continue this system throughout the year? I know your Haroo planner is for your mental health, am I right? Curious how these books complement how you track your overall health.
@JustScribble
@JustScribble 6 месяцев назад
I did 😉 I already had the standard but bought the weeks after I started the standard bc it finally restocked. I plan to continue with the Papertess weekly for the year - but I don’t know which size I’ll stick with. Going to setup the weeks and see how I like it. I do love the feel of flipping thru a TRP planner and I think that feeling would be good for this particular planner. Because it gives me all the feels. The Haroo is a journal - really - there’s a little bit of tracking for mood and key habits but I don’t use it for daily tracking of food and all the things. So it will be used in conjunction with this. It will be more in-depth checking and overall outlook of my health and big picture and inspo. And then the weekly will be the nitty gritty track all the things.
